Concentrated Summer as Sustenance for Winter
Imagine this... even the hottest summer eventually comes to an end. With all its floral splendor, the wonderfully fragrant vanilla flowers (heliotrope) must find a winter home if they are to bloom again in blue and fragrant glory next season. Many roses, which are still in full bloom now and some varieties that smell true to their name - herbaceous, spicy, or sweet - form rose hips, from which one can prepare tea for winter evenings, but they do not produce any special fragrance.
Jasmine and lily of the valley also have their blooming and scenting season, but certainly not (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) in December, January, and February. March would already be sensational, April just barely tolerable.
Well, what could be better than a summer elixir in a bottle? Something like Marc Cain Numero Zwei, filled in a simple cylindrical bottle that looks like it contains something for the skin, a medical wrinkle smoother or something similar. It is indeed for the skin, but not against wrinkles, dry or oily skin. One should not spray it on the face, but rather on the neck, wrist, or décolleté...
It smells like the summer described above. But those who take a closer sniff will discover: cinnamon and clove. Both mature in summer, but are used in fragrance and aroma more in WINTER.
And the fact that "concentrated summer" contains a small hint of winter makes it all the more intriguing. In summer, one can gradually store the scents of winter in the back of their mind. To have summer as "sustenance" in winter until it becomes summer again. Including the little winter notes that are not really important. Or are they? The two spices warm the entire fragrance even more...
Perhaps one could even save on heating costs :-))
