The Everyday Lamborghini
Today I'm testing a Tonino Lamborghini fragrance. A brand created by Tonino, a member and heir of the Lamborghini family, to offer luxury and lifestyle products beyond the well-known sports cars of the family. There are watches, leather goods, glasses, but also phones, gardening tools, and of course fragrances, which surprisingly are quite affordable, a trend that seems to apply to most fragrances from well-known car manufacturers (Mercedes, Ferrari, etc.).
Hmm… until now, I had always resisted trying such "car fragrances," much like my cat resists water sprays and damp cloths (for the occasional cleaning of his paws after rolling in dirt or after "enjoying" a mouse!)… but rain seems to bother him NOT AT ALL, go figure with these creatures…!
Because somehow I always assumed that these fragrances are rather less impressive,… but you never know, right?
So, as I said, I'm now testing this fragrance here, which is no longer produced and I still had a sample of it (… which was also a reason why I decided to try it :D).
By the way, there is now also a fragrance line from the actual car manufacturer of the label with the real Lamborghini logo, just as a side note.
After that, more herbal notes come in, such as sage (and just a little coriander), and especially woods (where you can initially smell the cypress better than the cedar). You can also detect a bit of pepper.
A little later, the fragrance remains classic as described, only now a bit of musk is added, which initially gives the fragrance a rather low sweetness. And somehow, as it develops towards the base, the fragrance also becomes a bit softer, almost powdery. It stays as described, where you can still smell the oak moss very well, only the fragrance becomes a little sweeter since the musk later becomes a bit stronger. Additionally, there are strong earthy notes from patchouli.
The longevity is quite okay, as it lasted on me for seven to eight hours, although it was rather weak in the latter hours.
So… okay, this fragrance is quite alright. However, it smells like hundreds of those classic men's fragrances with oak moss, lavender, and aquatic notes that are fresh and smell like aftershaves. To me, it neither smells bad nor particularly good, but it is a fragrance that especially men can’t go wrong with, although it wouldn’t set them apart from other fragrances, as you can find such a scent at every corner on some man.
It is an all-rounder, even though its fresher direction makes it more suited for spring and summer. It is primarily usable as a typical everyday fragrance, as I personally find it too unremarkable for going out.
However, I would still recommend giving it a test, as some people like these fragrances, unless you already have a similarly scented fragrance sitting in your cabinet, well… at least if you are around 30 or older (… like me *sigh* :D), as such a fragrance simply wouldn’t suit or appeal to younger people.

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts fresh and lightly citrusy with bergamot and especially with herbal, mossy oak. There’s also intense lavender that pairs well with the oak moss, along with a hint of aquatic notes. The top note basically smells like a classic aftershave in the style of fougère and chypre fragrances. After that, more herbal notes come in, such as sage (and just a little coriander), and especially woods (where you can initially smell the cypress better than the cedar). You can also detect a bit of pepper.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is moderate. You will smell the fragrance on someone when they walk past others, but it is not very strong, so it won't envelop the surroundings in a cloud of scent. The longevity is quite okay, as it lasted on me for seven to eight hours, although it was rather weak in the latter hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and colorless. The upper part of the bottle is chrome-plated and has recessed studs (or at least it looks that way). The cap is also chrome-plated and cylindrical, and it also features these "studs." On the front, you can see the logo of Tonino Lamborghini, which somewhat resembles the logo of the actual car manufacturer. Overall, it's nothing extraordinary, but still nice.
