Bare Sueded Vanilla is a really gorgeous vanilla that’s right up my alley. I’ll admit that I was disappointed when I first smelled this, because I’d seen it described as a milky vanilla, and I don’t get any of the milk, saffron or suede notes that I was anticipating. But it does have something of the texture - if not the actual scent- of suede to it. And once I came to appreciate it for what it was I didn’t care about what the notes were. I couldn’t stop wearing it. I misplaced my travel size and immediately bought another, then a full size bottle. This is easily one of my all-time favorite vanilla perfumes, and a standout from Victoria’s Secret. The Bare line in general is some of the best perfume they’ve put out in ages, maybe ever. Bare Sueded Vanilla is the one that strays the most from the Bare DNA, but to great effect. I usually find vanillas to be too gourmand, smelling like a Bath and Body Works dessert-flavored candle, or too woody (think The Architects Club, Bo - beautiful in their own right but not exactly a celebration of vanilla. This is what I imagined Vanilla Powder Eau de Parfum to smell like (instead of a coconut ambroxan bomb). Bare Sueded Vanilla Eau de Parfum is a delicious creamy vanilla and cosmetic powder scent, like Coty Airspun powder. It feels classy, sensual, and cozy and I can’t get enough of it.
