The opening is bright, light, and not particularly expansive. But over the course of about 20 minutes, it becomes warm, soft, floral, and stronger, without becoming sweet. Then the iris slowly pushes forward, while heliotrope and violet retreat. Delicate iris powder resting on the base notes is what remains.

A fragrance that can be worn daily and on any occasion, one is always pleasantly and well-scented without overwhelming anyone. I give it a solid 70 points. I wouldn't buy BSG for myself, but if I received it as a gift, I would wear it.

I find the bottle, or rather the cap, amusing. It reminds me of the headgear of Spanish soldiers or knights from the Middle Ages...

Spring Fragrance

After Boudoir secured the top spot on my fragrance list, I decided to take a chance on this flanker. So I sought out a sample of this "sinful garden" and was super excited when the package arrived.

Since the liquid is slightly greenish, I expected a rather fresh scent from the outset (in stark contrast to Boudoir without "Sin" and without "Garden," although the original Boudoir definitely contains more sin for me than this one). To be honest, it doesn’t have much in common with the first (and probably only) Boudoir. But that’s not so bad, as one Boudoir is actually enough for me. The original Boudoir is very sweet, strong, and long-lasting, while this one comes across as floral, green, and fresh. Just as expected. Boudoir one and Sin Garden are completely different for me. So I’ll leave the comparisons at that -

- Sin Garden is an absolute spring perfume for me. According to the description, "Sin Garden" is supposed to evoke English gardens. Quite fitting, I think. I see myself lying on a meadow surrounded by hundreds of flowers, a small stream bubbling beside me, and the wind blowing through my hair. Unfortunately, the scent disappears along with the breeze, never to return...

...I can only catch a whiff of it on my wrist for about an hour, and then I have to reapply. Such a shame, but still a lovely scent. (And that comes from someone who usually doesn’t connect much with fresh and green scents.)

The Little Sister

Just a few days ago, the big sister "Boudoir" moved in with me.
An absolute stroke of luck for me.

I am just as happy that this lighter version of Boudoir is now mine as well.
This spring/summer variant is so light and floral, yet at the same time expressive and long-lasting.
Freesia and violet are clearly recognizable and provide that floral freshness.
The warm notes in the base perfectly round off the scent with a powdery finish.
This progression hits my taste right on the mark. It now belongs in the upper ranks of my fragrances.
