Smells a bit artificial at first. Not horrifically artificial, more like cheap artificial. But you don't have to wait long for a pleasant scent to develop.
Slightly spicy, you can definitely smell the praline (I had previously guessed caramel, which isn't entirely off, as there are also caramel pralines :) The sweetness from the praline and vanilla, on the other hand, doesn't smell synthetic to me at all, but well made.

Normally costs around eight euros, which is a fair price if the scent direction suits you. "My" drugstore is even selling it for half price right now. If I hadn't bought so many fragrances lately, this one would be joining my collection.

Addendum a few days later: I tested it again, and the top note struck me as quite sour. The rest is okay, but the top note is too unpleasant for me and lasts too long. Not a candidate for purchase for me.

The Name and Design Deceive

I bought this fragrance blind at a low price in the souk. The first impression is very, very good. It smells fruity and sweet, and admittedly, the wheel hasn’t been reinvented here, but Joop fragrances have generally become somewhat of classics. Will this one make it too? Honestly, I don’t think so, because it smells very mainstream with a ginger note that adds a little something different, more special. Nevertheless: Those who like fruity and not overly sweet scents will definitely be happy with this one. Especially at this price and because you can easily find it in the drugstore.
About the bottle: The sprayer is high quality. I’ve experienced disappointments in higher price segments, but here they seem to have put value on it. Since I’m interested in graffiti, the bottle appeals to me with its modern and urban design and the classic box shape that has been seen a hundred times. I read somewhere that the cap is supposed to be made from recycled material. That definitely earns extra points from me. Just a great idea and much more interesting to design it in greige (note: a modern neologism) instead of red (like the spray head) or in silver (like I probably would have chosen).
You won’t find much depth in this fragrance, but it doesn’t always have to be an explosion of scent. In the drydown, not much happens for me, but hey, the fragrance is inexpensive, the longevity is decent, and the sillage is average. If I don’t know what to wear in my free time, it’s an uncomplicated scent. But I can also easily imagine wearing it at work. And honestly, in all seasons as well. This gives it a bit of an edge over its mainstream counterparts.
Long story short: No disappointment, rather a little surprise that there are also good and affordable fragrances in the drugstore. With other brands, you would have had to pay significantly more.
