A Wolfgang Joop dupe for Dior Homme in the vintage version for just €10
I recently discovered My Looks Man Eau de Parfum in Aldi for just €10, which turned out to be a real stroke of luck I had already seen videos describing it as a dupe of the vintage version of Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette.
Without giving it much thought, I simply took the My Looks Man Eau de Parfum with me.
And what can I say? I am absolutely thrilled!
The fragrance starts with a super sophisticated iris note that is reminiscent of the well-known iris aroma of fragrances such as Dior Homme Intense (2011) or Valentino Uomo Intense (2016).
Almost at the same time, I perceive rice powder, a note that gives the fragrance a clean and powdery feel.
I personally can't really smell bergamot and cardamom, but I can well imagine that they provide the pleasant freshness and a subtle spiciness in the background.
Although there are many spicy notes, the fragrance never becomes really spicy.
I don't notice star anise and nutmeg either, which is good because I don't like either note.
What remains in the end is an elegant, clean, powdery and masculine fragrance in which the iris butter plays the leading role, perfectly accompanied by the rice powder.
Performance:
Lasts easily on clothing until the next day.
The radiance is rather soft, but you are definitely noticed without being obtrusive.
Conclusion:
All in all, "My Looks" is a really wonderful office fragrance with a very good quality, and for just 10 euros! If you don't buy it here, it's your own fault.
I will definitely buy another bunker bottle when I have the chance.
