The image:
After the first spray, I feel like an elegant sailor dressed in a clean, white uniform. I stand at sunset on a wooden dock and board my ship, laden with wooden barrels full of honey.
As the anchor is lifted, my nose enjoys a wonderful scent combination of the old wood of the harbor, the light sweetness of the packed honey, the metallic coolness of the anchor, and the salty breeze of the calm sea. The adventure on the open sea begins.
The scent:
The main character of this fragrance is clearly the powderiness. All other notes merely play around it to give this powdery core certain characteristics.
The scent starts metallic-powdery and ends woody-powdery. A balanced sweetness is present from beginning to end, providing the fragrance with warmth and depth. The progression is linear, which I believe is not a flaw for this fragrance DNA.
Performance:
The sillage is well noticeable for about 1.5 hours, and the longevity is around 8 hours.
Conclusion:
I was very satisfied with 40 Knots, as it offered me a pleasant scent and very good performance. To me, the fragrance feels more masculine than feminine.
It suits any occasion and can be worn in any season, except on hot summer days.
