Yes, Erba Gold is in a way the more beautiful, refined brother - less synthetic, but clearly more finely tuned and luxurious in the
overall picture. What makes Erba Gold special is the slightly citrusy start - while Erba Pura is loud and intrusive, this fragrance feels a bit softer. The familiar musk/amber notes from Erba Pura are present, but used much more subtly.
In the drydown, Erba Gold shows its true strength. Its warm base of amber, musk, and vanilla adapts to the skin and remains very present for a long time, without being intrusive like, for example, Erba Pura.
Those who love Erba Pura but are looking for a more luxurious scent will find their dream solution in Erba Gold. For me personally, it feels as if a gold filter has been applied over Erba Pura, and out came Erba Gold. Erba Gold is a true recommendation.
