This is my new signature
I smelled the fragrance some time ago in a perfume store and immediately tested it on my skin. At first spray, I was a bit surprised, as the scent was not very pleasing to my nose and seemed rather "niche." However, since it never left my mind, I tried it again after a few weeks and had a small decant made for me. This time, I was instantly smitten and bought the bottle the next day.
It reminds me of a type of cake from my childhood, though I can't quite pinpoint which one. I just have this strange association with cake. :,D
In any case, this scent simply makes me addicted.
Noble, woody, mouthwatering, and in the dry down, I actually smell a bit of oud, even though it's not listed.
The longevity and sillage are amazing. When I come home from work in the evening, my apartment still smells of it, and I can still perceive it well on myself.
I can't say much about the similarity to Black Afgano. I only smelled that once on a friend. For me, Laylati has something that reminds me of my childhood, which Black Afgano did not.
I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy, but definitely try it out if you're looking for something special. For me personally, it's the best scent from the V-Collection. (I also own and like Accento very much, but I find Laylati to be a bit more special.)
