Aqua Regia Xerjoff 2023

If you look at the Aqua Regia fragrance pyramid, you might ask yourself how it fits together The answer is quite simple: some things need more, others less. And this is a fragrance where the nuances make all the difference. The overall picture is great. Now that it's getting colder, it really comes into its own. This is because leather provides the basis, together with patchouli. At first you can still perceive the slight acidity, for about 10 minutes, then the twist, sweetish-powdery-leathery. Simply a great combination. However, the powderiness of the iris never quite takes over as it does in Dior homme intense, for example. The indicated violets are so subtle that you can just sense them, which is a good thing. Light sweetness starts with a caramel accord, but quickly melts into a pleasant and unobtrusive vanilla.

Conclusion: Great fragrance for fall. Similarity to Rosso 17? Yes! In comparison, the Ugolini is for spring and the Xerjoff for fall.
Personally, I don't understand why this fragrance is rated so highly, I think 8.0 is almost too low. It would have deserved an 8.4. Longevity and sillage is not Beastmode a la 24 std.... It lasts for about 10 hours, with a very nice progression and a great base that you still notice after that time.
As a bargain, for about 150 euros for a full bottle of Xerjoff, you really can't complain for what you get. :)
