Ivory Route Xerjoff 2012

I’ve been searching for exactly this kind of vanilla for a long time. Not a sugary teenage vanilla, but one with edge. Right from the start, I’m greeted by a smoky, almost leathery note - dirty in the best sense. Then a creamy, sweet vanilla slowly emerges - but the smokiness remains.
It’s like vanilla that once stood outside in the fire. Warm, spicy, slightly mysterious. Not a scent for hot summer days, but perfect for evenings or cooler weather. Lasts well, has style, doesn’t come off as forced.
