Rediscovered....

As a high school graduate in '81, this decade was a wonderfully wild time for me - no longer a teenager and yet still not really "grown up". The fragrances of that time were all "big hitters" that left a big impression with their cloud of scents. After Lagerfeld pour Femme and Paloma Picasso, Opium soon became my first signature fragrance. I was showered with compliments at the disco and in everyday life. In the 90s, there were other fragrance worlds for me to try out. In my memory, I could no longer imagine ever having worn such a "loud" fragrance... In addition, when I occasionally tested the fragrance in the perfumery, I only perceived it as a shadow of its former self - unfortunately, the original had been mercilessly altered over the years.
When visiting an elderly lady in the fall, I was lucky enough to be able to spray the EdT from a long-stored, almost empty bottle - and was immediately enraptured by the intensity and depth of this beautiful oriental and its sexiness floating in the sillage.
Since then, I have been looking for a vintage bottle, which I have finally found! For me, this noble fragrance is not wearable for every day, it has its very special occasions for a beguiling "appearance".
