Not a Child Fragrance
What an odd perfume, a masculine adult creation launched towards the child public. It's one of those 90's creations that seems like a transition one, with plenty of 80 traces, much like another Versace from this era, Versus Uomo. Moreover, it kind of look like a Versus Uomo flanker focusing more on the citrus and aromatic notes. Baby Blue jeans starts with a dry citrus aroma, that for me seems to favor more the lime and bergamot than the mandrina, which is a sweeter citrus fruit for me. I notice a moderate uso of galbanum that gives a slightly bitter grassy side the the herbal rosemary aroma. The iris here is more earthy than floral and powdery and mixes very well with the other notes; Baby Blue Jeans seems to keep a coehesive citrus and herbal aroma, so it's kind of tricky to separate the notes, i'm here making inferences of them based on my perceptions on other fragrances. I really like how the base was composed on this fragrance; instead of going on a heavy dose with patchouli here, putting on of those quite 80's potent patchouli accords, the combination seems to somehow try to mimick the nuances of mysore indian sandalwood. It has all those nuance of this variety, the woody side, the creamy sweet one, a kind of gum facet that i suppose is a musk contribution, and an earthy side being emulated on background by the patchouli. It's a respectful creation masked as an innocent child perfume.

masculine orange
I know this is supposed to be a men's scent, but I got it with a bunch of other samples & wore it anyway. It's lovely! Beautiful rich mandarin orange note, with a hint of spice and a rich deep woody base note. It has an undeniable masculine note to it, though. I'd love to smell this on a man! Amazing how inexpensive it is, too. (051509)

Blue-Yellow Summer Cocktail

I have had Baby Blue Jeans for about a year now. I spotted it at Bipa, tested it on a whim (since I also know the counterpart for women, Baby Rose Jeans), found it good despite being a men's fragrance, and took it home. Baby Blue Jeans opens with citrusy, refreshing lime and a slight sweetness that I attribute to mandarin. I also believe I perceive a bit of mint and lemon balm, even though these are not included in the fragrance pyramid. After the citrus top notes fade, a touch of iris adds a light powderiness, though it is very subtle. The iris is spiced up by rosemary, which I really like.
The base is lightly woody and subtly sweet with sandalwood, delicate vanilla that never becomes overpowering, and woody cedar.
The longevity on my skin is about four hours, and I see the sillage as being in the medium range before it becomes more intimate.
I perceive Baby Blue Jeans as a unisex fragrance; it can easily be worn by women as well. This scent is not masculine at all. It's a pity that it has been discontinued. After wearing it at home for a few days and being very convinced by this fragrance, I bought the last two bottles in the store since it was being phased out. I have not regretted it.

At 12 years old, I proudly got to choose a fragrance.
This one was my pick.
Out of nostalgia, I'm getting it again :)

Lime spiced with rosemary, a bit of iris and mint. A wonderful summer scent - also for women!

Actually very close to Versus, with a hint of Zino and Beau de Jour vibes. A 90s scent to my taste!

Surprise: strongly reminds me of Versus Uomo by Versace - it's like the godchild of Uncle Uomo :) Fresh, zesty, spicy, and slightly green!

It really doesn't start off very pleasant, but after 10-15 minutes a floral-woody scent develops that you enjoy wearing on a warm day.
