Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Zara 2023 Eau de Parfum

I bought Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes super cheap on clearance after reading heaps of rave reviews. Imagine my disappointment when I excitedly sprayed myself and choked on the spicy raw ginger and sprayed in the eye by mandarin orange juice. Not harmonious at all. The aggressive top notes fade pretty quickly into a much smoother, but still fresh scent. Nevertheless, I didn't enjoy wearing it. I found it distracting and too sharp. Eventually, I admitted defeat and contemplated selling, but figured I would let my partner try it first. He liked it very much and, much to my surprise, I really enjoy smelling it on him. For me, it is something I like from a distance, only smelling periodically, not persistently. My partner likes the way it smells when he wears it and has received compliments from others. It is a casual daily scent and performs especially well in hot weather.
