Herb-fresh sea breeze! What's on the label is what's inside...

... and that's great! Inspired by scents like New West for Him Skinscent or Kenzo pour Homme Eau de Toilette, the "old" yet still unique.
Here, the North Sea comes alive on a cheerful, slightly windy summer day. It brings cool greetings from fresh spices. Lightly salty-herbaceous. Lemon, sage, and woods engage in a rendezvous with herb-powdery spices. Slightly grassy-coniferous aromas rise from the depths, leaving the impression of a pine grove near the beach and lightly rooty-scented reed grass.
It feels like long-lasting, uplifting aromatherapy of a special kind and is never intrusive. Sprayed on in the morning, "Brise de Mer" is still pleasant to smell in the afternoon. A "spicy aquat" that delivers exactly what it promises. Even the simply elegant bottle, which resembles the shape of a lighthouse, radiates cheerful brightness while also exuding calm. The contents even more so.

On the Côte d'Azur at the beach of...

… Nice, I sit in the still warm sand in late autumn. Next to me is my girlfriend, and I have brought a Dom Pérignon from our hotel Le Negresco in an ice bucket for our 10th anniversary, along with two glasses and a red rose. When I set it down and she saw the rose, her green eyes lit up. We toasted and lingered until the sun went down.

When applying this perfume, the first thing that hits the nose is a green citrus note that is quickly replaced by a salty breeze with spicy woods. Additional woods join in before the musk dries this scent down and gives it a certain masculine twist.

The longevity and sillage are average.

Here we have a fragrance made for the gentleman, and it can be worn from around 25 years and up. For women, I find it a bit too harsh and masculine, but as always, it's best to try it for yourself. As an all-rounder, it can be worn year-round. During the day, I can easily imagine it in a suit as well as in the leather gear of a motorcyclist. In the evening, it works well with a tuxedo, suit, jeans with a shirt, or even at a masquerade ball.

If you enjoy a green citrus spicy woody dry salty sea scent, you are in the right place. However, I find the current price to be too high.

Ne Prise wrigleys statt Meer

Sea breeze? I expected something completely different. To me, it smells like the green Wrigley's peppermint gum. Unwrapped, chewed for 5 seconds, and then smelled.

The peppermint is really strong in the opening, with salt added on the clothing, barely noticeable on the skin. Yes, it is super fresh and aquatic, but I don't know what such a strong mint has to do with a sea breeze. And Wrigley's with salt is also a crazy mix.

On the positive side, it is quite unique; I hardly know any identical scent.

On the negative side, however, is the relatively high price. 2pilots also produces fragrances that are sold for €19. Just because someone puts Adlon on it doesn't justify charging €49.99 for it. Because even though it smells unique and becomes better and nicely fresh over time, the mint now smells more synthetic than luxurious and of high quality. If you catch a whiff, it has its own character, but it's not recommended for close wear, as it simply comes off as cheap.

So it could have cost €9.99, and I still wouldn't have picked it up.

And because it doesn't work on my skin at all in combination with the price, it also gets a poor rating.
