incredible stuff, perhaps the best from the brand
Orris/irones in its purest form; so smooth, buttery, powdery but not chalky and a faint purple vibe to it. I really love the powderiness in this because it is such a gentle and smooth one, some powdery accords come across as either too rough or chalky, it then ends up smelling like some cheap baby/face powder or unsifted flour. This is on the opposite spectrum, the powderiness in this smells like the most luxurious and natural face powder. Soft and regal.
It is then backed up with wonderful fruity facets (peach, blackcurrant) and lovely florals as well (blue lotus, jasmine and rose), the lotus stands out more and gives this attar a meditative and slightly aquatic nuance, as calming as it can get. The peach helps contribute and play alongside that powderiness as well, yummy.
You also get hints of frankincense and saffron from start to bottom, but never overpowering – just a tiny hint of smokiness and spiciness throughout and it dries down musky and oudy. Surprisingly, I can still pick up hints of irone/orris at the very drydown. Amazing blending as always!
*Not to mention, Ahmed was also very generous by giving me a little more than 1gr of oil, which was what I ordered. When it first arrived, it was around 1.5gr and it came with a complimentary attar of another creation of his. Love his customer service, and how he goes beyond to satisfy his loyal fanbase.
(i've come to realise that different batches for this varies! mine is more musk and lotus forward whereas the one my friend owns is more peach and blackcurrant forward; the musk isn't as present, it's more fruity, fresh and less "dense" overall)
