Musky Clouds…
Opens up with a fruity pear that stays for quite a while. You then have some florals in the heart that on their own would be reminiscent of perhaps Chanel No 22. However with the fruit on top and heavy musky base this feels like a seamless transitional bridge. The heavy musky base is well judged never feeling too much but rather heavy in terms of creating an anchor for this scent.
I did find it was reminiscent of Kun Amo. I should point out this was released earlier by maybe a year or two. I prefer Musk Ameenah myself for the finesse and attention to detail Kun Amo relative to this does feel femme but brutalist.
Sillage is arm’s length maybe a little more, longevity on both the opening and overall fragrance are great. This would make an excellent summer scent if you don’t citrus or white florals.
IMO one Rasquinet’s best work since The Moon which I still believe to be his greatest work. I had a phase where I tried to buy or try almost everything he released hoping to have found the next Ropion. Here I feel we are back on solid ground. Bon chance, Monsieur Rasquinet. Got two or three compliments in two days.
