Summery, but...

I used to be a total fan of coconut and wanted to smell it everywhere: in my body lotion, my deodorant, my shampoo, and last but not least, in my perfume. Admittedly, it was too much of a good thing, especially since I had that scent constantly in my nose during the summer heat. Of course, one associates the scent of coconut with summer, beach, and similar things, but personally, I now find it too overpowering and too strong. If anything, I would wear this in winter, but at the moment, I’m keeping my distance from it :D

A Fragrance for Every Day

Coconut is great in summer, refreshing, tropical, and sweet. I've had my eye on this one from the Body Shop for a while.

The scent smells as expected like coconut, which initially has a very creamy and light aroma. After the first hour, the scent becomes rounder and the creamy coconut note fades away, now the coconut becomes woodier and slightly spicy.

The longevity is decent; it lasted 6-7 hours on me, which is quite good for an EdT. The sillage was initially quite strong but then quickly weakens.

The bottle is the typical one from TBS, it is simple and the spray button works reliably. This is a typical summer fragrance, but due to the woody note at the end, it is also wearable in winter... The skin compatibility is good and I don’t get headaches from it.

Conclusion: Initially, the coconut note is very creamy, but then it becomes increasingly woodier throughout the fragrance development. Wearable in summer as well as in winter...

~ Inspiration ~
This summer, I stocked up on various body lotions, shower gels, lip balms, and perfumes with coconut. That's how "Coconut" from the Body Shop made it onto my wishlist. I received a partially used 30ml bottle from the lovely Lumumba.

~ Bottle ~
The brownish-transparent glass bottle is simple and handy. "Noix de Coco" translates to just "coconut," which is also depicted on the front.

~ Scent ~
Upon spraying, I notice a strong, alcoholic note that dissipates quite quickly. A creamy coconut unfolds, which feels rather dark to me rather than light. (Is there really nothing else in there? I would have also expected some spicy vanilla, slightly burnt caramel, and woods behind it).

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 3-4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). A few sprays are enough; otherwise, it becomes too cloying for me.

~ Occasion ~
A unisex coconut scent that can be worn throughout the year and is not too sticky-sweet.

~ Conclusion ~
Something bothers me... perhaps the somewhat dry-scratchy-cloying-bitter base note.
PS: It smells like the other Body Shop Coconut care products (butter, scrub, etc.)

Summer, Sun, Beach

You can lie on the dazzling white sandy beach in the height of summer, let the sun burn on your skin, and to prevent your troubled skin from drying out, rub yourself with fragrant coconut sunscreen (but now it's better to go into the shade and order a Batida de Coco cocktail).

Or you can spray on Coconut, very fitting for high temperatures.

This tropical-caramel-creamy coconut scent is simply ideal when everyone reaches their heat limit and wants nothing more than to dive as quickly as possible into the nearest beach pool/outdoor pool/lake/Pril or sea. It has nothing artificial or squeaky about it, and its naturally fragrant monothematic character was the main reason for me to get it today, on a 33-degree vacation day.

The light sweetness drifts after about half an hour into burnt sugar and later into vanilla. For my taste, it could be a bit nuttier and more cocoa-like for a less sweet Bounty flashback.
A skin-close scent that surprisingly lasts a long time, especially due to the vanilla.
My sensitive skin had nothing to complain about even after multiple reapplications. For just under 10 euros, I can warmly recommend it to all coconut enthusiasts and palm beach lovers!
