Wintery caramel orange with sultry patch
I blind bought stars from Ebay a few years ago because I really like Jimmy Choo EDP, but can't stand the artificial smelling pear top note in it. I thought a version with orange instead of pear would be more to my taste.
It did not disappoint, I wear this a lot around Christmas.

This is exactly what I imagined, Jimmy Choo with a beautiful warm fruity orange instead of the screechy pear that reminds me of nail-polish remover.
I really love the combination of sweet, sticky, caramelly toffee, dirty patchouli, dusty vanillic orchid and juicy fruit. Like the original Jimmy Choo, it might be a typical fruitchouli on paper, but they all have a unique, distinctive note about them and smell kind of addictive to me. Very delicious and a bit sultry, intense and very long lasting.
The warm orange also makes Stars a bit Christmas-like, so I wouldn't wear this in summer. In the colder seasons I find it quite versatile though, as it balances on the line between cozy and sexy.

Toffee heaven
This is such a yummy, gourmand scent that is actually quite appropriate for daytime wear. Definitely a cold-weather fragrance, I wore it to work today and was surrounded by a wonderful cloud of toffee, orange, and patchouli goodness! I couldn't wait to get home and spray more on myself (without worrying about asphyxiating anyone around me!) It is incredibly long-lasting, 8 hours at least on my skin. A very successful blind buy!

It is the Tiger Orchid
I am so glad that I was able to snag this scent in the souk. I only learned about it after it was discontinued, so I didn't know it, yet its fragrance notes really appealed to me. I do not regret it. This scent is caramel-like and sweet, but not edible. It is a beautiful, sensual fragrance with a very special note that has captivated me. Some time ago, I had a moment of recognition when I discovered this note in another perfume - it is the Tiger Orchid. Despite my green thumb, it might even be worth getting one :-)

Orange Toffee?
~ Inspiration ~
I wasn't really impressed by the regular "Jimmy Choo." So I had higher hopes for this limited "Stars" variant and received a sample from Chrissy1409.

~ Bottle ~
The round shape with indentations has been retained - but here in a golden tone.

~ Fragrance ~
Upon spraying, it is a bit earthy due to the patchouli. After a few minutes, a somewhat artificial, tangy-sweet mandarin note unfolds with caramel-like toffee. Warm sandalwood and tiger orchid also provide a woody-floral spiciness.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). You should spray it from a distance; otherwise, it becomes too musty-synthetic for me.

~ Occasion ~
It fits well into the cooler days of spring and autumn. Instead of candied apples, there are candied oranges here!

~ Conclusion ~
Unfortunately, this variant didn't really convince me either... you can recognize this typical "Jimmy Choo" character, just more orange in this case.

Starts with a moist-earthy patch that is quickly pushed to the background by candied orange + delicate flowers. Plus creamy toffee.

I don't know, somehow the stars remind me of "Manifesto Le Parfum".
The top note is briefly harsh - but it fades quickly :-0

Something bothers me about this scent. Maybe it's the orange..
I prefer the original!
