The first sniff - and then the second

Opened, sprayed on and smitten. Spicy it smells, but mild. Also a bit boozy. I had the same association with Le Labo - Thé Noir - the name gives away what I'm getting at. Could it be that? Or the fig after all? In any case, the fragrance also has a creamy-sweet undertone. So probably sandalwood and tonka. Right from the start subtly with it. And so perfectly "seasoned" that it is not a dessert, but the main course. Michelin stars - you know what I mean. Elegant and classy and definitely beige.

ALSO. Did I then later began to perceive the iris. And as it is, I'm one of those who can only half compromise with it, because it sometimes seems suffocating or penetrating. As fantastic as I find the fragrance, TOO much iris bothers me. A little less would have done just as well. Because admittedly: she sounds quite nice with. Spicy-creamy - but then later still a powdery topping. I understand already somehow. Seems like a fit. But an unbalanced fit.

The durability is solid, the sillage not really strong.

That said, the fragrance will still move in with me. I am, after all, willing to compromise.
