Spices Not Just from the Orient
I always get excited when I experience an extraordinary scent, regardless of whether I would want to wear it.
Femininde is such a strange perfume. On one hand, the spices - cardamom and pepper play an important role already in the heart note - on the other hand, the scent has nothing warm or oriental for my nose. But spices are not just found in the Orient.
The heart note is cool and somewhat rough despite the spice note, as vetiver shows itself not only in the base. The base, in turn, brings a completely new olfactory experience for me with caraway, resinous fir wood, and as a counterpoint, the warmer cinnamon. The sandalwood at least prevents it from becoming too strange. The fact that rose also plays a part in Femininde only becomes apparent to me strangely when the base is already fading. All of this sounds a bit confusing, and the scent is too, but that also makes it exciting.
I’m still not sure if I like the scent or if I just find it interesting. At least I don’t feel the need to wash it off right away. It won’t end up on my wish list, but I’m glad to have smelled it and I certainly won’t pass on the sample just yet. It’s worth mentioning that I can definitely imagine this perfume on a man.
