Vibrato for Less
I picked this one up recently after trying it in a shop. I was absolutely stunned by how close it is to Sospiro Vibrato. I absolutely adore Vibrato, unfortunately my wife found there to be a note in there that smelled like body odor in the dry down, so I parted ways with my bottle several months back. Fast-forward last week when I randomly stepped into a local fragrance shop. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but I saw m this green and gold bottle. I decided to try it on a mere whim, and instantly knew what this was replicating: Sospiro Vibrato (specifically Vibrato, NOT Tygar).
All of the facets are beautifully replicated: the citrus, amber, florals, powdery notes, beautiful sandalwood base: it's all there and the oils are very natural and the overall quality is absolutely outstanding. The dry down is even better than Vibrato, the sandalwood is dialed up and actually brings to mind the dry down of Bleu de Chanel EDP.
Longevity on this is fantastic. I sprayed it on skin and on paper and the paper strip held the smell for DAYS! Projection was fantastic as well. I get 8-10 hours on skin, days on clothing, unfortunately on clothing, the fragrance does not evolve and get that great dry down like it does on skin.
I ordered a bottle for $26 shipped and it turned out to be a FAKE, so be careful! If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. After spending more than twice that on a real bottle from Jomashop, I realized how tricky some of these counterfeits can be and it would be nearly impossible for me to know without having the real bottle next to it as a reference. Who would think that some shady company out there would be making counterfeit bottles of something as obscure as Bharara, with such an extravagant bottle, selling it so cheap, and still making a profit somehow. The fake bottle did smell similar at first although faint, but as the dry down would start something weird would happen that caused me to go noseblind, not only to it, but to everything and anything else I would put up to my nose after smelling it, which is absolutely terrifying. Who knows what kind of chemicals are actually in those fakes.
