Surprisingly Beautiful
I bought the fragrance because, on one hand, I had been looking for a good scent that is sold in smaller quantities (because 100mL somehow always feels like too much), and on the other hand, I really liked the design of the bottle and the overall packaging. Since I couldn't find any samples anywhere, I was really curious.
I purchased the fragrance from Wolkenseifen, as they still include a sample, and if I don't like it, I can return the unused perfume.
It arrived, and the scent from the sample vial reminded me a bit of Empressa by Penhaligon's at first.
So I sprayed a puff on my wrist. At first, there was a very typical perfume scent. A bit alcoholic, powdery, floral.
After a while, the alcohol faded, and citrus notes emerged with a hint of a bitter flower. The water lily comes through beautifully; the citrus fades away, as it often does, relatively quickly. But warm, soft notes also come into play. I find the incense very well dosed, not excessive, somehow just right. Over time, it becomes a bit woodier, but the water lily remains prominently present.
It is a scent that is beautifully cozy and yet refreshing. It invites you to dream and relax and simply lifts your spirits.
I was initially worried that it wouldn't last long, as this is always a concern for me, but it surprisingly holds on warm on the skin for quite a while. It's not a scent that envelops you in a large fragrance cloud; rather, it's a personal scent for oneself that is only very lightly perceived by others and doesn't disturb.
