The Mojito Is Going to Hit Hard

… was what I thought to myself when I smelled it for the first time.

Imagine being stuck at a beach bar in 30-degree heat, craving a mojito. You give the bartender a brief, conspiratorial wink and bam, the bottle slips right out of his hand. Instead of the standard 5 cl of rum, he floods the glass with 10 cl of pure Caribbean jet fuel. Suddenly you know: There’s a very good chance you won’t remember this evening.

What do I mean by that?
Mojito Splash captures the scent of a mojito extremely well, albeit a mojito with some serious punch. Instead of “Mojito Splash”, I’d therefore call it “Mojito Bomb”.

Compared to the OG, namely Torino21 , I think it comes to around 80 % of the original. It lacks a little of the citrus and the fine balance.
If you’re looking for a smoother clone of Torino21 (without the risk of a hangover), you’re better off with Platine Blanc. Even though it doesn’t match Torino 100 %, it still comes closer to the DNA and doesn’t have that strongly alcoholic note of Mojito Splash.

In conclusion: If you’re looking for the exact Torino21 DNA, Platine Blanc is the slightly better choice. If, however, you’re looking for a fragrance with real power that embodies a strong, seriously hard-hitting mojito cocktail, then you’ve come to the right place.

Cheers (and bottoms up)!
