Profumo sublime... Adoro calaj

Calaj o lo si odia o lo si ama, e io questa fragranza l' adoro dalla prima snasata. Un profumo che sta dando il meglio di sé con temperature più basse. Inaspettatamente la parte agrumata del arancia in stile flavius si sente prepotente e nell evoluzione di questo profumeria accompagna a lungo le altre note cuoiate e baslamice. Per me un capolavoro. Sicuramente non da blind buy però.

Plummy Leather

Tobacco-citrus, slightly animalic, musky LEATHER. Resinously dense and very well blended. Of interest- scent created by maceration in palinca alcohol, which is a Transylvanian alcohol produced naturally by distillation from plums (these are from the garden of Flavius Calaj, just like palinca).

Lying and Dreaming...

They lay next to the bushes heavy with black currants, so sweet and sour that they were almost bursting at the slightest touch. It was early morning, a bitter, damp mist rose from the mossy meadows and

He lovingly brushed her nose with a coriander leaf, teasing her to finally wake up.
She was wearing his old leather jacket, many cracks running across the surface of the once smooth leather, which smelled of his pipe tobacco after all this time.
Slowly, the corners of her mouth twitched, which led him to a tender smile.
He had prepared a bed for both of them with dry wood shavings and bark, the wonderfully warm woody aroma of cedar still lingered in it. But the scent of animals that once lived nearby was still perceptible.
She simply continued to sleep, a delicate, almost balsamic scent of darkest vanilla emanating from her warm skin, more bitter than sweet, which he liked.
And small resins hung like shimmering pearls in her hair.

The Last PH (85), translated as "the last pure heart," is the first creation of perfumer Flavius Calaj.
What is special about this fragrance is that it is based on a plum alcohol made according to a traditional recipe instead of a grain-based alcohol, from plums from Calaj's own garden.
The scent is sweet, but somehow not, as bitter, herbal, leathery, resinous, or spicy-animalic notes keep coming through, preventing it from ever becoming too sweet for my nose.
I smell a beautiful, ripe, and rich black currant, which also carries a slightly sour aroma, just like a hint of delicate dark plums.
Then a coriander and oak moss note comes in, helping to keep it from drifting into overly fruity territory. Leather and tobacco also appear very distinctly, being soft, dry, and a bit rough.
It becomes cedarwood balsamic and darkly vanilla-like, not sweet for me but rather bitter, accompanied by a snug animalic warmth and warm resins.
Especially because beneath this sour-fruity sweetness, the bitter-herbal, leathery, spicy, animalic, and woody notes keep shining through, preventing it from drifting into excessive sweetness, I find it very beautiful and intriguing!
The last pure heart accompanies you all day long.
