Sunscreen scent that delivers what it promises.
Crema di Capri is for me like a vacation moment in a bottle, a fragrance that instantly captures a certain mood: sun on sun-kissed skin, sunscreen in the air, a light breeze from the sea, and that cozy feeling of lightness when you doze off on a warm lounger after swimming.
What I particularly like: Crema di Capri is indeed a sunscreen scent, but not one that hits you over the head. Many fragrances of this kind quickly come across as overloaded, artificial, or even cheap, but Casa Far Niente is something special: It gives me a tropical lightness with depth, without being intrusive.
The coconut forms, for me, together with subtle Ylang-Ylang, the soft, creamy base. It is present but not too sweet/gourmand, more like coconut water on warm skin. The vanilla rounds everything off, subtly sweet and very harmoniously integrated. It enhances that sunscreen feeling without becoming sticky.
The floral notes (Ylang-Ylang and jasmine) give the fragrance its feminine elegance. I perceive them distinctly; they lend the whole composition a soft, slightly sensual radiance, like after a long day at the beach.
Cashmeran provides the soft base, pleasantly close to the skin like a sun-warmed cashmere sweater. And then there is the - for me - barely noticeable lime, which adds a refreshing lightness to the whole, almost aquatic like a jump into turquoise water.
Overall, Crema di Capri is for me a summery feel-good perfume with a vacation flair. Tropical, vanillic, creamy, with floral warmth and a fresh twist. A scent like a perfect summer day at the beach.
