Frankincense/Leather, but so much more
I first encountered this fragrance in the Pafory Advent calendar. Normally, I have often shunned the notes of leather and frankincense, but since I had committed to testing every calendar scent, it went on my skin. The opening is quite a statement: a full dose of frankincense in a leather coat. At first, I was skeptical, but I wanted to stay open-minded and took the dog out into the cold. There, the fragrance underwent a transformation. The orange kept reappearing, and occasionally green cypress and coriander would poke through. Later, it becomes warm and woody with amber, cashmere, vetiver, and a hint of oud. Overall, a very versatile scent that is definitely much better than its rating here. I then immediately got the 8ml subscription at Pafory, and the bottle will probably follow. My wife says every time she smells me with this fragrance that it reminds her of her "Amoral | pernoire." For me, however, it is the "lighter," warmer version of that. H/S above average.
