Pure absinthe wormwood paired with calamus, that's a great opening. I don't get how people can confuse absinthe and herbs with mint - luckily, this doesn't smell like menthol at all. After the first sniff, it settles down into something more suitable for everyday, without losing its spark. Cypress is not the dampy one, it stays green. The dry down is soft oud, not menacing, slightly powdery iris that makes you think of an ancient roll and not a old aunt. This is good.

Medicinal, eucalyptus almost minty opening - steeped herbs creating a blast of a healing tea - with an underlying sweetness.
Bright opulent but somehow still demure flowers - they are there without overpowering the blend.

In the deeper Drydown it gets drier and more powdery over time and loses that minty spark.
I teared up while smelling for the first time - don't know why ...
Is there a sadness beneath all of it?

Maybe a reminder of childhood and those herbal hard candy which tried to help with a sore throat
