Known DNA but…
wow, this one smells good! The comparison with Aventus can’t be avoided: you’ve got a citrus, pineapple, patchouli, and some amberwoods at the base. However, Anelo is just superior imo.

When I sprayed it on, my first thought was “oh no, not again”. But then I kept smelling it and smelling it. And this is definitely worth the buy.

I believe it is the work of Andreas Wilhelm, who has already created a few masterpieces for pernoire, including Amoral (my favorite from the brand), and Mansa (A&O 2023 finalist). Swiss perfumery has nothing to be ashamed of!

Known DNA but… not Aventus
Pafory Advent Calendar 2025 - day 4:
First impression: A bright, fruity fragrance reminiscent of Erba Pura, God of Fire, Ingenious Ginger, and Vibrato - sharing a similar DNA, and this is not the Aventus DNA as the previous review states. However, despite being similar to these fragrances, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist ... because I love this DNA ... evidently.
Also, I have no idea why it costs that much. 250€ for a 50ml?! That's just insane.
Full review: To follow.

Summer Dream Finally Fulfilled
This review will probably be a bit longer, as I have quite a bit to share about this fragrance...
I am very proud to say that Anelo by Pernoire was known to me two weeks before its release.

I happened to meet the dear Nico Mannino at the gym.
I wasn't sure if I should approach him or not because I wasn't 100% sure it was him.
Pernoire hadn't been on my radar for long (3-4 months).
I recognized Nico from TikTok. Informative videos from him and Robin Dünner about the perfume brand kept popping up.
For a very long time, I didn't know they were from Pernoire because I hadn't paid attention to the account name.
Since they had few likes and views, I thought it was just another one of those cheap clone brands that always pop up.
So, I didn't pay much attention or show any interest.
However, when I saw the Pernoire bottles here and there on social media, the name stuck in my mind.
When I saw another video from them on my fyp, I connected the dots and scrolled through their page.

On November 23, 2024, I was at the Osswald perfumery in Zurich to test some fragrances, and then I saw their bottles.
I had been there so many times and had never noticed the bottles. I didn't even know they were represented there.
When I recognized the bottles, I had to test the fragrances, of course. I was quite confused because the scents were very unusual. I couldn't really categorize them.
At that moment, while I was testing the fragrances, a nice lady from the perfumery was nearby and told me something about the brand.
Pernoire participated in an event where experts smell fragrances blind and evaluate the scents based on creativity. Pernoire scored very well and was among the top 10. That makes absolute sense to me.

Some time has passed since then, and I hadn't engaged much with Pernoire.
Until I recognized Nico at the gym again on January 29.
I was unsure, but I approached him and asked, "Hey, aren't you the CEO of Pernoire?" He smiled and said, "Yes, that's me."
I can really only say positive things about Nico. We talked for more than 30 minutes, and in the end, he even gifted me the Pernoire Discovery Set. It was really a very interesting conversation, incredibly cool to meet the mind behind these perfumes.
Nico said to me, "You know, I think people who want to smell different and special come to Pernoire," when I told him that I find Pernoire's fragrances very unusual. I can only agree!
As an example, he wanted to show me a fragrance that he had as a sample.
And that, my friends, was Anelo...

Nico asked me if I wanted to spray it on, and I replied yes. However, he didn't let me take the sample in my hand.
"Sorry, the name is on it; it won't be available for two weeks on Valentine's Day," he said.
When he sprayed Anelo on my arm, I let it absorb a bit.
While he told me about the inspiration behind it, I smelled my arm. I had never been so quickly and thoroughly convinced by a fragrance. Anelo knocked me off my feet right away.
What an olfactory experience!
Anelo is inspired by a journey by the sea. With moisture, freshness, and a certain spiciness of the islands.

It opens very fruity with an overdose of pineapple. It's very zesty-fresh at the same time.
In the dry down, the citrus spiciness of ginger comes through. The mango adds a creamy touch to this fragrance.
In the base, it becomes a bit woody.
This fragrance develops incredibly beautifully and lasts forever on the skin.
This will be a hit and my #1 in summer.
Pineapple is my favorite fruit, followed by mango in second place and watermelon in third.
I believe that the overdose of pineapple here caught my attention so much.
That mango also plays a role here is like a dream for my senses.

I was truly completely in love with this fragrance and couldn't wait for it to be released.
Four days before the release, they posted a 3-5 second video every day with a little leak.
Every day, one letter in the middle of the sentence was capitalized. This resulted in A.N.E.L.
After analyzing their last names and the meanings behind them, my guess was "ANELA." It means "angel" in Hawaiian and would perfectly fit this tropical story.
Normally, Pernoire always responded to my comments under the videos on Instagram, but not this time. I thought I had cracked it. I wasn't too far off :)
You could also see a little of the bottle in the videos. It was white.
One day before the release, they announced that Pernoire now has two collections: "ANIMA" and "ODUS."
Anima consists of the black bottles with a 25% fragrance oil content. Odus are the white bottles with a 30% fragrance oil content and an overdose of a specific note.
My joy was even greater when I saw this. Moreover, I find the white bottle incredibly beautiful.

At 9:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, they made the fragrance available for pre-orders.
I ordered it immediately. Nico then privately informed me that I was the first to order Anelo, which made me incredibly happy since I love the fragrance and had been waiting for two weeks just to order it.
In the evening, Robin was also live on Instagram on pernoire.official.
I got a shoutout from him when he saw that I had joined the live. He thanked me for being the first to order the fragrance.
That really makes you happy...
He also showed the sprayer; pressurized atomizer uffff.
I can hardly wait for my bottle to arrive at home!!!

With this fragrance, I associate so much. My chance meeting with Nico, our long conversation, the story he told about the fragrance while I smelled it, the surprise at the first sniff, the hype over these two weeks, the recognition in the live, etc.
Also, the big highlight that Nico gifted me two 4-day VIP tickets for Esxence 2025 in Milan.
I will be forever grateful to Nico for this experience.

I thank God that my path crossed with Nico's and that such a story came out of it.

It’s perfect for the upcoming summer
Anelo is a beautiful and, above all, tendentially fruity-citrus summer fragrance. The fruity notes harmonize wonderfully with the existing citrus. There are certain hints of an Aventus, as well as, for example, a Bvlgari Tygar.
The pineapple from Aventus and the citrus notes from Tygar really combine well together. However, you shouldn't understand this to mean that Anelo is very similar to both fragrances.
There are certain parallels, but Anelo stands completely independently.

The scent starts for me directly with this fruity, citrus mix.
The pineapple that can be compared to the one from Creed Aventus plays with citrus notes.
Pomelo, a bit of mandarin, and especially the ginger provide these citrus vibes. The ginger also brings a slightly fizzy quality.

In between, I even get slight citrus-pastry vibes.
I don't know where that comes from, but I have the feeling of smelling something very subtle in that direction. I really like it! So the scent also gets a slightly creamy twist over time. At least that's my personal feeling, and that's the beauty of fragrances. They are subjective, and that's a good thing. Otherwise, it would be boring.

The performance is really good.
For me, 3-4 sprays were enough for an endurance of about 9 hours. I certainly didn't expect that and it really surprised me positively.
For a summer fragrance, that's remarkably good.
The sillage is also completely fine. It doesn't project like a monster, but it doesn't hide either.

Great release!
Well done, Pernoire.

Pineapple Explosion
With "Anelo | pernoire," I get to test the second fragrance from the house of pernoire, following the gourmand "Poka | pernoire." I ordered a sample blindly and without knowing the notes. Only later did I realize that the name Anelo is a combination of pineapple and pomelo. Since the Poka (popcorn and caramel) came quite differently than expected, I didn't think too much about Anelo. But wow, here I experience an explicit fruit explosion.

The opening is pure pineapple in its most authentic form. It is juicy, but also sweet, with slight canned pineapple vibes, yet nothing overly sugary or synthetic. You have to search a bit for the pomelo, but it can be sensed with a bitter note, just like the mandarin. All these top notes later blend harmoniously with the heart note, as this fruit cocktail beautifully connects with the following mango. I don't really pick up the ginger, but as time goes on, the magnolia reveals a hint of its floral scent in this fruit explosion. The base notes of amber, patchouli, and vetiver create a lovely bed for the aforementioned.

This is truly a fragrance that teleports the wearer to the beach with a delicious juice cocktail in hand. Anelo is fruity, zesty, and definitely sweet without being cloying, and really an explicitly sniffable fruit bomb. So far, I haven't found a fragrance that transports exotic fruits as honestly and authentically as this one. Anelo lasts for several hours on the skin, even longer on fabric. Anyone who is a fan of truly fruity scents should definitely check out Anelo - absolutely unisex wearable. In my opinion, the fragrance really needs to catch you, as it is positioned in the rather high-priced segment.

Devilish mix between Lattafa Honor and Glory, a tinge of Tygar, a spruce of 9pm Rebel. If you drink it, you'll morph into Carmen Miranda

Tygar-esque musky fruitiness, but less plum-grapefruit and more pineapple-mimosa. No Aventus vibe to my nose. Feminine leaning.

Sophisticated fruity scent. When it settles, it kinda reminds me of Nest Indigo.

ANELO = ANanas + pomELO. Sure it also has ginger, vetiver, patchouli, etc but now you know - it's juicy gourmand for the summer. Fun one :)

Fruity isolates in a lively mix. Pineapple comes through at first, albeit a bit restrained. Ginger adds a subtle, rough freshness kick...
