Take a shot of absinth for bravery before stepping into Count Orlok's castle...

Excellent... A dark vampiric perfume, heavy and enthralling. Opens with strong absinthe, which transforms into a VERY strong birch smoke, akin to Feu Follet by LVNEA (if you know it). As the perfume develops, I could smell earthy patchouli and high quality leather, with a less prominent but nonetheless threatening blood note in the background. I've never smelled such composition! I understand the "damp crypt" comparison, especially in the opening. For me, the whole journey of this scent evoked the image of journeying to Count Orlok's castle, and taking a shot of absinthe before arrival because you will need all the bravery you can get to enter. You finally take a step into the castle, and the massive doors close behind you. Little do you know, your fate has been sealed shut, just like the castle doors.

Pure Orlok!

Probably my favourite one from Dark Tales. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for when I first tried Nosferatu from Heretic and what I imagined while watching Eggers' Nosferatu. So different from the other vampires scents, its beautiful! Old, forgotten, arising. The blood note, with the smoke and absinth makes it all... perfect. I love it so much, and its colour! So green! Aaaah. Pure joy, smells like a real old sorcerer crypt.

Smokey absinthe

This is a fantastically unique fragrance from a house I've come to really enjoy. It opens with an incredibly strong, smokey alcoholic drink kind of scent that slowly dries down to a more leathery scent. I am very picky when it comes to leather notes, especially when they're on the stronger side as it is in this one, but it just works so well here somehow.

Nosferatu has been awakened

In the basement of a gloomy castle, I open the heavy door that leads me into a dungeon that hasn't been opened for centuries. In a massive coffin lies he and sleeps. A gruesome creature, half decayed, half alive. Dusty, stuffy, the air is filled with decay and the smell of evil. Blood still clings to his mouth. A dark but incredibly powerful feeling overcomes me. I feel I have arrived, I feel at home.
All of this is everything I have ever searched for.

An absolute masterpiece of a Nosferatu fragrance.
It captures this incredible atmosphere.
This is exactly what I have been looking for in a fragrance and I have found it here.

The scent is DEFINITELY NOT pleasing. But I love it all the more for that.
It definitely smells decayed and musty but not in the sense of sweetly rotting flesh.
I perceive absinthe, smoke, metallic notes, and the smoked birch very strongly, which develop into a cryptic, gothic scent.
