Morning Tea in the Faerie Garden
Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the world of a faerie forest. You’re outdoors having morning tea after a rainstorm the evening before. The scent of the forest, towering above you and damp beneath your feet, permeates your nostrils. The steaming cup of jasmine tea in front of you tickles your nose, its delicate floralcy giving you hope and strength for the day ahead. The damp, metallic soil mingles with the scent of the stately cedar trees that you and your friends call home. It’s a beautiful day—another great day to be alive!

This is a glorious fragrance, and I’m thrilled to have found it again. To me, it is a phenomenal interpretation of the scent of petrichor: forest soil, spring blossoms wet from overnight rain, and steaming cups of a distinct black and jasmine tea blend. It is absolutely delightful and easily one of the prettiest petrichor fragrances out there.

The Vibe Chart

Vibe: Mystical rain-soaked forest tea party.

Serendipitously Me: This captures the exact magic of a damp morning garden, balancing deep, earthy petrichor with the comforting warmth of a steaming mug.

Status: Proudly rediscovered and back in full rotation.

Yours in fragrant living — Tony

An amazing petrichor scent that I continue to reach for
I grew up going on camping trips to a cabin in the Rocky Mountain west desert- this reminds me of sitting on the porch while it rains. The cement of a local road getting wet, the river, and all the dry desert plants. It smells like a cold mountain-desert rain to me. I adore this.

There’s also definitely tea in there- personally, I notice the petrichor, green, creosote notes the most prominently.

All around, a stunning scent that I reach for both sparingly and frequently- if that’s possible (I hope they come back soon!! ).

Feels more like the day after the storm
I bought this as a decant. The creosote gives it a floral sweetness that reminds me less of storms and more of tramping through dewy grass and clover. The rain accord is a bit more synthetic than I'd hoped, and while I don't get much soil I do get a very slight, almost chemical-metallic edge, maybe from the cedar. It has less of a "cold" feeling than some rain scents I have, possibly due to the lack of ozone, and it gets warmer still with time. I couldn't identify the black tea.
If it evokes anything in particular, it's walking through a city park in the late morning after a rainfall: the grass is carefully maintained enough that there's no mud, just wet greenery and wet playground metal just starting to dry in the sun.
Overall it's not so unpleasant that I want to wash it off, but if I'm in a rainy mood and want an everyday-wearable indie fragrance to match, I'd go for Tempestarii by Andromeda's Curse or Storm Magic by Cherry-ka's Trunk.
