Window open, 200 euros out, window closed!
And in small bills, then the effect is better! Overall, the scent costs 269 euros and apple pieces. Well, the remaining 69 bucks might still be worth it, because it’s not bad. While testing (and I have tested it a few times, under the motto: There must be something to a scent for 269 bucks) I kept wondering what this Classic 33 reminds me of.
A somewhat short-winded Poison? Nope! Habanita light? Thinking. Nope! Then it hit me like scales falling from my eyes. Angélique Noire by Guerlain. A razor-sharp dupe!
Angelica root plays the leading role at the start. The coriander adds a slightly sweet-sour roasted pork spice.
The difference comes in the heart. Here, a huge tassel throws in a whole truckload of sweet rose powder. Powder, powder, powder, for which all the roses of the Orient must have served.
The gentle woodiness in the base is overwhelmed by heaps of vanilla and tonka sweetness.
It lasts on me like glue and has a room-filling sillage that gets stronger by the minute.
Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they would easily part with 269 bucks for this. I would rather reach for Angélique Noir, which is more elegant and subtle. Bottle? It’s a matter of taste. I think it looks like a spaceship from the Star Wars fleet. Maybe Chewbacca is the co-pilot? Who knows!

neither opulent nor sheikh
here we definitely have a case of a deceptive package. Just take a look at the bottle and then the name of the fragrance! What would you expect? Surely something oriental, opulent, extravagant - right?!

Far from it! It is a care fragrance: delicate, clean, soft. This scent smells just like a woman's body after a shower with a white, creamy shower gel in the style of Nivea, Dove, etc.

I find the scent perfect within the category of care fragrances = 100%
But I believe that the bottle design and the name suggest something different, so many people besides me and my flower party friends must be incredibly disappointed.

I love the scent, and I’m adding it to my wish list right away :-)

P.S.: A thousand thanks dear Dege... you seem to have a great sense of my taste... for that, a big hug and kisses (I’ve picked this up from Ophelia :-)

Breathless at the Powder Pink Ranch
Thank goodness, no oud...I thought as I read the pyramid. The rest sounded quite exciting; many favorite notes and a few that I wouldn't throw off the bed. But, as it is in real life: The dose makes the poison. Here it is the dust of the desert - that's how it seems to me - that makes the fragrance at times far too dry-powdery. I join the previous speakers who said that for 269 bucks, one can have expectations, but I must point out that the fragrance was created in Bahrain and local noses might perceive it differently. The bottle, in any case, is Arabic-opulent, not to say Oriental kitsch. The development of the fragrance ranges from "beautiful, velvety, floral opening" to "suffocating attacks from iris powder and overdoses of rose" to "Guerlain-like, long, enchanting cuddly drydown." All in all, exciting and entertaining, not particularly oriental, rather a mix of Jovoy Terra Incognita and Sa majesté la Rose by Serge Lutens, stretched out. Those who love roses and powder will adore it...

Dichotomous
I can turn it this way and that - for me, it is absolutely unremarkable, even though the fragrance notes are exactly my style.
What the grandiose bottle and the price suggest does not develop at all on me. It has neither punch nor does anything special unfold, expensive, elegant, sensual, high-quality - not at all.
Quite nice. Someone once told me that "nice" would be the worst insult for him - I wouldn't go that far here, for me it would fall into the category of "needs to be worn up". That's probably why it also leaves offended after half an hour.
It could be me, I envy everyone for whom it is great.
Such a bottle would have been worth it - c'est la vie, as the Spaniard says.

Subtle all-day wear in a fresh and polished style. The heart note is well-balanced with roses and heliotrope, and fluffy with iris. Lovely!

A beautiful creamy mix of rose and bergamot. Clean and fresh.
It becomes a bit powdery over time.

Softly powdery, creamy, beautiful. A bit reminiscent of Nivea, but with a spicier touch.

Overpriced scent of a skincare cream. Soft, creamy, clean. But way too expensive.
