Yes Ma'am it's Dapper Dan.

Discovered yesterday at the barber's in the display case, tried it, and bought it.

Scent progression:

Initially a mix of Fisherman's Friend and Brut by Fabergè.
The cooling effect on the skin is impressive. No burning, no trace of sharpness.
When the freshness fades, the scent transitions to a lightly sweet-peppery aroma with hints of anise
and soft, almost balsamic notes. Overall, it gradually becomes very soft and soothing.

The skin compatibility for me is very good. And my skin (neck area) is very sensitive.
Even when running it through the hair, one notices the wonderfully refreshing effect
of menthol. I particularly recommend this product when you have a cold and may react sensitively to other scents with a sensitive nose and throat. Dapper Dan Green clears the airways.

Later on, it is very close to the skin, never intrusive. The longevity for me is rather low at 3 to 4 hours, but that does not detract from the positive overall impression. It fulfills its purpose with flying colors.
Outstanding price-performance ratio. (At the barber 100 ml / € 15)

Barbershop is back!

What a triumph! This aftershave is so brilliant. It brings back that old-school barbershop vibe. Of course, menthol is dominant and cools well, providing lasting freshness. However, it is a sweet, woody, and perfectly balanced menthol scent. Perfectly balanced. The quality is superb; you feel clean, disinfected, and well-groomed after shaving, and your face and neck shine beautifully, just as an aftershave should.

The longevity and sillage are exceptionally strong for an aftershave! You can actually perceive the scent throughout the day after shaving, and it radiates outward. We're talking about an aftershave (!) and not an EdT or EdP! Outstanding. Additionally, your face and neck feel cool all day long. The price-performance ratio is really very fair, the bottle lasts a long time, and the quality is outstanding. Be sure to also try the blue aftershave from Don Draper/Dapper Dan; it's also top-notch!

A Scent That Doesn't Exist as a Fragrance

There are moments when you stumble upon a scent by chance and think to yourself, "Wow, what is this?" That's how I felt when I incorporated Dapper Dan Green into my shaving routine. I wanted to apply some of the aftershave almost daily, but my facial hair wasn't growing fast enough. So I needed it as a perfume. There was just one problem: it only exists as an aftershave.

Accordingly, the longevity on the skin is somewhat short. However, the sillage in the first half hour is extreme.
It mainly smells of pleasant and strong menthol. After that, it becomes spicy and finally woody.
The bottle represents the style of the 40s and 50s. And it smells just like that in the end.

However, one must not only like the sharp and cool scent of menthol but also the classic and clean barbershop aura of the 40s.

Perhaps one day a miracle will happen and the manufacturers will release a matching perfume to this aftershave.

not my taste

I was curious about it and bought it from Amazon for €15.36.
To me, it smells extremely sweet with mint, menthol, and woodruff. I didn't expect that. To test it, I held it under the nose of my son and daughter, and they love it.
In forums and YouTube videos, it is highly praised, and I believe that too. It's just not my fragrance.

More than just an After Shave

Wow, I really have to admit that I am thrilled with this fragrance composition. I have transferred the bottle into a spray and enjoy every spritz. It is a very refreshing experience. At the same time, the scent has a lovely sweetness - almost like a menthol candy paired with a woodruff flavor. The sillage reminds my girlfriend of a body lotion - I actually have to agree with her. It feels almost creamy here and there.
She totally loves the scent, and it’s usually difficult to get a compliment out of her. Not so with this after shave... She came running immediately and asked what smells so good.
The longevity is better than that of some EDPs, EDTs, etc.
