Finally my perfect tobacco

I’ve been on a hunt for perfect all year rounder dry tobacco for some time (few years). Icio smells of boozy dried fruits, apricots to be precise and tobacco leaf. Very timeless and elegant, probably considered to be more masculine in some parts of the world.

I fell in love with it within few days. With moderate to intense sillage, depending on how humid it is outside. It is not tainted by exuberant smoke or ambroxan to make tobacco note super sweet or loud (and ekhm-ekhm artificial smelling).

Instead it is built around one of the finest and natural tobacco notes I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t smell of cigarettes or nicotine, just beautiful dried apricots and sun drenched tobacco with soft whisper of hay. Less is more when it comes to refined tobacco scent. If you love Ex Idolo’s Ryder, Bortnikoff’s Tabac Dore and Roja’s Enigma, do give it a shot

Icio versus Kiste

As a big fan of Slumberhouse "Kiste," I would like to compare these two fragrances that are very similar.

Kiste begins with a burst of peach - ripe peach on slightly oily wood.
Icio starts with juicy apricot, coolly wrapped in fresh tobacco leaves on shiny light wood.

After 5 minutes, they are almost identical, only Icio feels a bit more elegant, while Kiste carries a fine freshness.
Then, Icio reveals a very elegant, almost floral wood note that stands out alongside the fresh tobacco,
while Kiste emits a warm wood tone... garden table in the midday warmth of an autumn Sunday. The heather adds a dry-fresh aspect.

Icio now evokes the finest soap, comfort, safety, and spaciousness. Elegance and familiarity. So finely balanced that one can hardly perceive the individual components separately.

Fabricio has made a declaration of love to his grandfather with "Icio."

I imagine "Kiste" as the brother of this grandfather. The first is more elegant and cosmopolitan, the second more down-to-earth and somewhat simpler. But one would definitely want to be related to both... absolutely.

There's definitely more to this than meets the eye. It starts classically with a subtle fruity note, tobacco with a floral touch, and the wood is lightly resinous. Very refined.
