Starts wonderfully, but then becomes quite boring

When applying "Mabel's Tooth | Freddie Albrighton," I was initially quite excited. Unfortunately, the scent becomes rather boring over time... At least the longevity on my skin is strong, lasting more than 12 hours, even though the fragrance eventually becomes quite close to the skin. Accordingly, I find the sillage to be rather subdued.

The top note starts very fruity, sweet, gourmand, and liqueur-like. I recognize cherry liqueur, fruit tea, forest berries, as well as blackcurrant liqueur. The heart note continues to smell fruity-alcoholic and sweet but also spicy-nutty with hazelnuts, allspice, toffee, forest honey, Caro coffee, and nutmeg. The base is woody-resinous and leathery with hints of sandalwood, suede, oak wood, tobacco, as well as cedarwood.

It's a pity that my sample of Mabel's Tooth faded so ordinarily after the great opening - there was definitely more potential.

Images of a Memory..

The images of her memory played out like a film, thick as honey-golden toffee in sweet waves.
A time from her childhood flickered to life, fragrant pipe tobacco from a sepia tin rose to her nose and tears suddenly streamed down her cheek.
But she felt safe and well taken care of.
Now she sank deeper into the brown sofa and buried her face in the scratchy fabric.
Gone was the soft fuzz that she used to rub her nose against; now it was old and worn.
The scent of past pipe tobacco smoke mixed with sweat lingered in it, and gently comforting was also a cozy hint of salty warm skin.
The sunlight made thousands of curry-colored dust particles dance just above the creaky wooden floor.
The air, wafting through the leaky window, smelled of dried flowers and straw.
She thought of dried fruit with its tart aromas, which used to be stored on the wooden shelf, high up in the kitchen.
Then she stood up and left the room, the memories faded, turning into a dream…

Mabel's Tooth was created in memory of the family dog Mabel, who always received a piece of toffee during the Christmas season.
The scent impresses with a lovely spice of honey and salty toffee, which, however, does not become sticky but hangs in the air like a soft mist.
This is accompanied by warm grains, sweet-dry tobacco, and aromatic dried fruits.
The very present, spicy immortelle, combined with leather, creates a wonderfully dense animalic scent that reminds one of slightly sweaty "aged" skin or quite possibly warm dog fur.
For me, it's a beautiful, spicy-sweet fragrance created with great attention to detail.
This memory lingers on the skin for a good 7 hours.
