Not what I expected
I fell in love with the oil so I assumed this would smell the same - thought wrong. This one is more powdery and gives a vintage vibe aka smells like an old lady at least to me. It's making me sad because I was hoping to make this my new signature but I don't think that will be happening anymore. I now have a 100 ml bottle and I don't know what to do with it honestly. I'm just gonna stick with the oil cuz I love it so much it makes my skin and hair super soft and moisturized and the smell is amazing!

Aldehydic Monoi
As already said by some, this perfume doesn't smell like monoi oil at all.

It smells like monoi, certainly, but it has a little vintage vibe, I would even say aldehydic. However, these are "mild aldehydes", a bit like you can find in L'Air du Temps for example. So you won't have any "cat pee smell" in here.

For the price it's quite nice.

Tahiti by night
I just had the opportunity to test this fragrance at a friend's place. I must admit, I wouldn't have sprayed it otherwise, as I already suspected how it would smell.
There are quite a few oils with names like Tahiti, Tiaré, Coconut, readily available for cheap for decades.
Unfortunately, my prejudice was confirmed.
First, a cloud of alcohol hits me, followed by a very sweet, white-flower-infused something that I would have preferred to wash off immediately. But: I bravely endure, after all, I don't want to offend my friend, even though I acknowledge that she doesn't actually like perfumes and received this one as a gift.
So how does it really smell?
It actually smells like those mentioned oils. White flowers, especially Tiaré, a bit of jasmine, ylang-ylang, gardenia, but also an undertone of very sweet, quite artificial vanilla that I know from air fresheners in Turkish buses. I fancy, with a lot of goodwill, that there might be a bit of sandalwood in there. And a whole lot of coconut, which, in combination with the heavy tropical flowers on my skin, develops into a familiar shoe polish note; this has happened to me with several fragrances featuring Tiaré and other white flowers.
So all in all, it smells rather cheap, intrusive, and very familiar.
I remember this scent being prevalent when people gathered on the beach in the Dominican Republic and Haiti in the evenings. In that sense, it can be authentically called South Sea feeling. Whether that really fits into our northern regions is something everyone must decide for themselves.
For me, it’s more than just a bit nauseating, and I don’t want to hold out until the bitter end.
The bottle is quite unattractive, cheap glass with a side seam, the label is rather thin and of poor quality, as is the spray button made of whitish plastic. So, there are no visual appeals to be found here. Nevertheless, the Tahiti feeling costs €28.
I’m going to get some water and dish soap now and pour myself a nice liqueur - without coconut.

A new beautiful Monoi scent!
Since I was in the mood for a new Monoi scent some time ago and I was already familiar with the Monoi fragrance from Yves Rocher, I wanted to try something new and chose this original Eau de Toilette from the brand Tiki Tahiti.

It's a pity that not many here in the forum seem to own Tiaré or are familiar with it yet, because I believe this scent would appeal to some of you!
Absolutely worth a test!
I cannot agree with my predecessor here. But tastes are indeed different!

Tiki Tahiti is a brand that has been around since 1942 and has many fans all over the world.
They produce wonderful Monoi oils with various tropical-scented ingredients like coconut, sandalwood, vanilla, and of course the classic Monoi-Tiaré scent as body oil.

And to my great joy, they also offer various fragrances like this beautiful piece!

I was very curious about this Eau de Toilette, could hardly wait for it to arrive, and I was not disappointed at all!
Compared to the Monoi scent from Yves Rocher, which appears "fresher" but somehow also artificial-sweet, Tiaré exudes pure naturalness, has a warm exotic aura, and is wonderfully cozy, floral-warm, and creamy.

A plus point is that the Eau de Toilette is quite affordable and has good longevity.
For me, this little fragrance lasts easily 5-6 hours.
A long scent development does not occur, as all notes unite after 10 minutes.

After applying the elixir, my thoughts clearly drift towards the South Seas.
I think of palm trees, the infinitely vast sea, white beaches, the warm sun shining on my face, and the carefree spirit that the people there radiate.
Along with this wonderful scent that one can surely perceive more often in those regions than here..

Monoi-Tiaré starts off a bit soapy after spraying.
Tiaré is slightly alcoholic at first, but this fades away quite quickly for me after a few minutes.
Immediately, I perceive a rich creamy scent of gardenias, which is not very sweet, but pleasantly green-floral and warm.
Ylang-Ylang seems to unite very quickly and willingly with the gardenia, so that both scent notes perfectly set the rhythm together.
Neither steals the show from the other, resulting in a perfect duo.
Gardenia and Ylang-Ylang are clearly the main actors in this olfactory performance.
Vanilla plays a small supporting role at the end and stays somewhat in the background. Nevertheless, it makes its presence known in a low dose and adds a touch of exoticism to the whole.

Vacation on the Balcony
Today I received a bottle of "Tiare / Tahiti Tiaré | Monoi Tiare Tahiti / Tiki Tahiti" and tried it right away. Since there aren't many reviews for this scent yet, I wanted to contribute one.

Right after spraying, a pleasant, floral, slightly woody, moderately sweet Tiare scent develops from the initial alcohol cloud. The first impression is a good presence; however, after about fifteen minutes, the fragrance develops a nice, skin-close cream note, and the floral aspect takes a back seat. It retains a sunscreen vacation feeling, but not like a flashy Hawaiian party, rather like a vacation on the balcony. "Tiare / Tahiti Tiaré | Monoi Tiare Tahiti / Tiki Tahiti" is a summery refresher that I can well imagine using in higher temperatures. Longevity and sillage are very subtle; the scent is light and gives a bit of the feeling of being freshly moisturized on the skin. For me, it could be a nice companion for the handbag to refresh myself with a few sprays during the height of summer.

Tiaré pure! Without any distracting Monoi/vanilla/coconut/fruit notes, just beautiful pure flowers. Highly recommended!

Beautiful floral-creamy Monoi scent that reminds me of the South Seas :) Not artificial, but with a naturally fragrant aura :) Try it!
