Probably the most prominent @autumnal timbery" "scent on the market
Top notch cedar prominent scent but with a mix of other woods and saps such as oak, maple, hiba etc.
I think the accords are spot on. It is a somewhat smoky woody scent with a lot of autumnal facets coming from the apple and cinnamon, bread, sheep's wool etc. It is also indeed fresh spicy which makes this werable during the mid seasons I'd say, Spring/autumn. Therefore, not too heavy and actually can vibe a bit fresh. This is nothing syrapy sweet or typical frankincensed smoke. No this is all about the coziness in the forest and cedar in all it's glory, topped by oak and pine.
I love this. Potentially becoming my signature scent. Performance is superb by all means.
I cannot emphasize enough the artisinal and natural quality of Havenhollow generally. You won't find anything like this. Not even my 2nd favorite brand, Pineward. I would go as far and say that Havenhollow feels like Bortnikoff quality which is the n1 in terms of natural extracts and is known to exceed 85% natural extracts and distilled juices, and the overall rare quality.
Thanks Eric for this magnificent creation.

Back in the Woods
It's time. Comeback? No, after half a year I have to put a little something on paper. A little digression: as a student and later as an apprentice, I earned some extra money by writing blogs, reviews for music albums, and concerts. In retrospect, that was quite nice. Since then, I have to write something here and there. Especially since further samples keep finding their way to me without me forcing it, quite the opposite!

One creation now comes from Havenhollow. Here it applies: once it's gone, it's gone. A bit contrary to myself, as I just notice. Hearthmoor begins with wood smoke and the characteristic American wood note. Intense, slightly sweet-spicy, aromatic-woody, moderately dry. I used to always associate this with hickory; here it is the blend of spices like allspice, cumin, and various woods.
Virginia cedar, incense cedar, Nootka; these are all well-known American woods. All aromatic, almost like walnut in combination, just without the earthy nuance. Curiously, I am wearing Colorado from 2023 by American Perfumer today. The parallels are striking, however, Hearthmoor is more intense. Also related is Gristmill by Pineward, which feels sweeter and fuller, thus more charged.

A leisurely stroll through American forests, sunbeams breaking through the treetops, light flooding clearings. Atmospheric aromatics, balsamic-resinous woods are carried by Pacific Northwesterlies. Oregon: salty-woody notes in various facets flow through the olfactory receptors. Trees that are most likely encountered here and are otherwise native to completely different places evoke impressions. Strolling, unhurried and soothing hours are spent.

It was time, but I too am off again for now. Even though I didn't wander in Oregon's forests in the last few months, my absence was soothing and unhurried. So: off we go! Otherwise, I'll read the statements as long as I continue to receive samples consistently.

Rich woodsmoke, damp earth and a hint of sweet tobacco for a masculine fragrance evoking memories of a crackling fireplace

There's an odd note in here, might be the combination of hops and castoreum, that gives the distinct impression of urine. Not my thing.

Rich, smoky, woods with a sappy sweetness that *would* venture into BBQ territory if not for the greenness that grounds it in nature.

Dry wood smoke, the woods themselves are complex, ranging from dry to spicy. Well done but a familiar theme.
