Carbon 227 - Okay.
I only knew Kohlenstoff for their jewelry, which is also very solid and recommendable. When I ordered a new necklace, they kindly sent me samples of their perfumes. At that time I had nothing to do with perfumes and sprayed myself every day with my 1881 Black, which I bought in the DM. So I put them in my cupboard and let them gather dust.
In the meantime, I have tested many different fragrances - whether designer or niche - and already have a reasonable experience.
When I wanted to spray a tester today on my day off, I decided on Herod by Parfums de Marly. As I started to sort through my remaining testers, three small colorful bags looked at me, the testers from Kohlenstoff12.
I took them to my desk and looked at the reviews on Parfumo.
I opened the black packaging from the jewelry house without hesitation and went for it.
_- The fragrance -_
I smelled the small black bag and it immediately reminded me of something. On the surface, I detected a smell that reminded me of my father's shower gel - one from Axe. But there was also something else, vanilla. You could already smell the vanilla in the Herod, but it fades into a certain sweetness with the cinnamon and is perfectly rounded off with the smoky cedar wood and tobacco. Unlike the 227, here the vanilla is lost in the leather / lavender scent and it feels more like it was added at the end - somehow not quite as fitting as with Herod. (Compare 60€ perfume with 200€ perfume... Sorry for the comparison, but it's a fitting example of the vanilla note)
The scent is fresh, clean and pleasant. However, it is also boring and rather weak.

Not really intrusive, not really weak. Just like all other mid-priced eau de toillettes.

The bottle itself is nothing special, it just looks very plain and "normal".
The bag in which the tester was sent to me is not really what you know and it is annoying not to be able to spray a perfume on, but to somehow get a drop on your wrist. Cheap for the company - maybe good for the consumer to get the samples with every order.
_- Conclusion -_
The 227 is more of a perfume for those who want a perfume for little money, which you rarely smell and is nothing special. However, I think that buyers tend to buy the perfume because they like the brand.
