A fruito Oud

Sapparot means Pineapple in Thai, a very important fruit in the culture of this beautiful country.
It is used in many rituals and ceremonies, as an offering to spirits, temples or monks.
Its yellow color is associated with sunshine, light and joy:Oud Sapparot blends a juicy and full Pineapple, full of sweetness, to the smokiness and harshness of Oud .
A fruity Oud, deep but also joyful, playing in a balance between the two ever-present parts, which alternate in a really interesting way, transforming over time into a soft and enveloping symphony.
A must-have during summer evenings.

Smoky, leather and wood

Not a safe blind buy.

I wouldn't say this fragrance is true gourmand for those looking for a gourmand oud fragrance like others by Montale, as Arabians Tonka is. It's a mature scent.

The pineapple is minimal to my nose in the middle and base, as is the coconut and vanilla. Top notes are a bomb of juicy charred pineapple but quickly fades. The leather and wood are smoky and the strongest and longest last notes, possibly the saffron and cinnamon too although I dont really pick up on these notes. They are all offset and made lighter, less overpowering and a little sweeter by the cinnamon, vanilla and slight creamy but almost undetectable coconut.
This is a very unisex fragrance, maybe even slightly masculine leaning.

It's not sickly or overpowering as I was fearing. It doesn't screech, but as typical for Oud it is rich, deep, and smells expensive, but all the notes seem to balance well.
On skin it isn't the longest lasting, probably 8 hours. It radiates arms length to intimate. On clothes and hair it lasts a lot longer. 12 hours plus.
Top notes until it fades to middle and base could be considered slightly medicinal.

This is a good evening fragrance or for special occasions. I'm unsure how it will perform in summer as I originally attended.

Pure Good Mood

I have owned my Oud Sapparot for about a week now, and since then, I haven't wanted anything else in my daily life.

This is the first thing my hand reaches for after my morning shower. I really spray it generously on the back of my neck along the hairline, on my knees, and in the crooks of my arms, and I can't help but let out this delightful and uncontrollable Mmmmmh paired with the realization "I am in a good mood."

I am already a Montale fan, and among other things, I am fascinated by the way Montale manages to capture fruity scents. If I were to perceive this fragrance with my eyes closed, I wouldn't doubt for a second that I was sniffing a pineapple juice (or liqueur).

I don't perceive Oud directly. If someone is "afraid" of Oud - don't worry, it is not present here, but it does ensure that the pineapple doesn't sound too straightforward.
I also don't perceive other notes (leather, saffron, cinnamon). However, I think they also contribute to perfectly showcasing the pineapple.
In my perception, this is a mono-fragrance: Pineapple.

However, pineapple here does not smell creamy or particularly gourmand - for me, it is just right, as I do not like very pronounced gourmand directions (often caramel or chocolatey).

My conclusion: I never want to miss this fruity good mood maker before a workday in summer.

I can smell it on me for several hours, but I also like to refresh it every few hours. I find that you can't overdo it with this fragrance; it feels a bit like a very elegant deodorant, you don't come off as "perfumed" but rather fruity-fresh.
The (classic) Montale bottle emphasizes this perception.

I find the scent light and delicate despite the oud. The pineapple smells sweet and the fragrance is a perfect summer candidate. Definitely worth a try!
