I have to say, fragrances can quickly become too sweet for me. However, this one is crafted so well that I think everything is almost perfectly balanced!
*Wow, where should I start? A scent that feels highly complex yet so simple. There are familiar notes, yet there's always something new that pops up. It starts a bit spicy; I can really smell the ginger. But it doesn't come across as sharp... I think sage balances it out nicely. Frankincense is top-notch. Soft, warm, and definitely not sacred or cold-just how I like it. The rum on top adds some warmth and smoke, along with a touch of familiar rum sweetness that doesn’t feel overwhelming. Cocoa and caramel smell very luxurious to me; I can increasingly pick them out and they contribute a different, more gourmand sweetness that fits in beautifully. Gorgeous notes and perfectly balanced. I think it’s an absolute hit for winter or autumn, and it has an amazing sillage. Beautiful!
Definitely an interesting companion for the season.
