A lot of incense for nothing...? Ehh I mean, for clary sage
Even though I don't really like this fragrance, I think it deserves a review.
The scent of incense & clary sage is very much to the fore. It's a very interesting combination that is both smoky, animalic, herbaceous and fruity. Floral facets, aromatic scents. Rum. Ginger. Black tea. My nose detects these notes, which are extremely interesting.
Although these really interesting, invigorating accents are repeatedly displaced by the incense.
The persistence and sillage are very strong. Exceptionally strong. Of course, the fragrance oil content of over 50% speaks for itself. However, I find the concentration with these ingredients too penetrating. I like strong fragrances very much, but there is something about this fragrance that I find intrusive.
After a few hours, there is a surprising twist. Incense fades, finally, and a really pleasant, warm dry down emerges. Caramel and cocoa combined with something animalic. I feel good. To sum up, I have to say that my nose is simply overwhelmed by this fragrance. It is certainly a very high-quality fragrance, but the high concentration of incense detracts greatly from it. I just don't know what to make of it. I need time.
