Notes are deceiving
I got a sample of this with my worst blind buy. But it nearly made up for the bad purchase!
It’s very much a vanilla fragrance. It’s a sweeter one but doesn’t venture into the gourmand realm luckily. There’s just a hint of Oud and sandalwood at the base. It’s really subtle.
There’s a wonderful floral aspect that starts subtle and slowly overtakes the vanilla.
Contrary to the notes I get no rose, or saffron. No patchouli either. But there is a profound ylang ylang note. Maybe it’s the rose and musks? Regardless I love it. I hope I can splurge for a 50ml one day.
