Bali Ha'i Maison de L'Asie 2021

Granted, solar tropicals are *not* my favorite profile, this is one you need to try before buying. On my skin, the coconut and jasmine are then quickly overtaken by a dirty, earthy tobacco and patchouli. It settles out in the end to a lived-in sunscreen beach scent. If ‘Vacation’ is an idolized version of a perfect pool day, Bali Ha’i is the realized tropical beach day—heady white florals and coconut with a gritty dirty reality.

This very pleasant coconut and white flowers scent strongly brings to mind Avon mark.'s Instant Vacation - Greek Isles, but longer lasting. The drydown reminds me of Sean John's Unforgivable Woman (which was my favorite part of that fragrance). Both these scents are from 2007, and were perfectly wearable and enjoyable, so I'm okay with the flashback.

Bali H'ai starts off with coconut and white flowers, with a bit of a powdery feel. It has kind of a monster projection, spray with care! It dries down primarily to a coconut skin scent, sort of warm and cozy. It's not particularly unique or ground-breaking, but I'll enjoy my decant, dreaming of the beach.
