Delicious realistic magnolia
I wish I didn't love this fragrance so much because I cannot justify the price at all. It's so expensive and it doesn't last, but unfortunately it's one of the best things I've smelled in some time. I am incredibly grateful that I have a few samples of this though and I will use them sparingly.
I love the smell of magnolia flowers and often times magnolia perfume doesn't accurately represent that aroma. This fragrance perfectly captures sniffing the peppery gingery blossoms of a fully blossomed magnolia tree on a warm spring day. The Orris and white amber add a subtle yet warm depth to the fragrance, making it ever so slightly ozonic but realistic. Upon first spray, this fragrance is very green and lavender, but it changes into that true magnolia experience after a good half hour. It's so lovely.
Also, this probably goes without saying, but depending on your natural scent or your body lotion, this fragrance changes. When I tried this on my unscented skin, I mainly got magnolia, but I reapplied this perfume to write this review on lotioned skin (the lotion I used was Soap and Glory's The Righteous Butter) and the sweet lavender popped out more. Regardless, this fragrance is beautiful.
