Not impressed
I've never smelled Tuscan Leather, so can't compare. Suede et Safran opened for me with a big burst of leather, even though it's not a top note. It then evolved within seconds with the leather pulling back and a green accord popping up followed by a somewhat sweet floral accord which I assume was the ambrette. Really kinda amazing how the scent evolved within about 15 seconds. Finally, the sweetness pulled back somewhat and everything started to settle down into a dry, suede type scent with the saffron. I didn't get any ginger. Longevity was very good while the projection was more average.
Overall, didn't really care for it. Seemed kinda flat; not much there.
