The Marrakech Imperial brand was founded by Kenza Snoussi and Massimo Di Nardo in 2020 in the Moroccan imperial city of Marrakesh. With Marrakech Imperial, the Italian-Moroccan couple aims to blend Western fragrance concepts with Arabic-Oriental influences, thereby bringing both cultures closer together.
The debut collection of seven fragrances was launched in 2024 and was created for Marrakech Imperial by renowned perfumer Christian Carbonnel, a.k.a. Chris Maurice.
The caps of the bottles are modeled after the shapes and ornaments of the domes designed by the sultan's architects for the imperial palaces.
The bottle and packaging design for these first seven fragrances were developed for Marrakech Imperial by Moroccan designer Youssef Chajai and are inspired by traditional Moroccan architectural style.
