Luckiest Blind Buy
Nafais Sharq was on my "To Blind Buy" list for at least 3 months. I was getting side-tracked by so many other perfumes, but finally, FINALLY! - I got it. This perfume to me is very much a "Mystery of the Great Pyramid".
The top note is a bright, fruity and sparkling apricot, which, literally ripens on your skin, becoming juicier by the minute and dripping in golden-orange honey. It is simply mind-blowing and addictive!
Almost immediately with it comes the most delectable creamy-rich note, transporting you into your childhood dreams of a perfect dessert that was made just for you and exactly the way you liked it.
The two notes remain quite distinct, and despite complementing each other, are most certainly not a "blend". Yet it does not diminish their enchantment or addictive qualities. Imagine two birds of paradise flying side-by-side - this is the impression the two create in my mind.
Pear joins in a bit, - she is pale gold, crisp and not yet 100% ripe, but already fragrant and assured in her delectable beauty. My parents had a tree of the Duchess pear, which we all loved and cared for as if she were part of the family. She reciprocated with the crisp and most flavoursome fruits which we loved picking from the branches in late summer and indulging in. This is exactly what the Nafais Sharq pear is like for me.
Bourbon Vanilla steps in. She is neither drunk nor spicy. She is a perfect addition to make up quartet of the lead notes and through it perfume's creaminess becomes more elegant and seductive.
I admit, this is the first floral-fruity perfume which I am certain to call seductive and sensual. The contradiction and contrast of the notes, at the same time so well thought through and irresistible makes me speechless because I cannot tear myself away from it. The images that this scent conjures up and makes one feel are (of course) singular and special for each wearer, but I am willing to bet my name on, - exquisite, seductive and unforgettable.
Vanilla and ambery musk in the dry down all but "finish me off" with the precision and dedication of the perfume's creator who knew exactly the effect/result they were after.
This scent is universal when it comes to seasons, and care must be paid to whether you wear it for business or private reasons. As for me - nothing wrong with either;
