what went wrong?

Nooo, I had so much hope for this one! But this is sadly... not great. It's very synthetic rosy coffee with a whole lot of alcohol that doesn't go away. I don't smell any vanilla unfortunately.
Also, it's everywhere. I smell it on my daily commute so often and it's so grating I stopped using it in order not to harass other people.

However, the value for money is undebatable and the bottle is at least well-designed and decorative.

Indulgent diva pleasures

Oops - - On the skin this - attention, spoiler - super-noble-cheapie is nothing that has anything to do with my humble statement...

But wait a minute, very cool; from the beginning. Let's start by lifting the curtain on the really nasty: Despite a kind recommendation from a perfumer friend, I was honestly shocked. And I was shocked by what I found out when I googled it. Watch out, here comes a hammer, and a gruesome one at that - this is indeed a product that has escaped directly from the manipulative hell of generationally stultifying influencer grudges.

The name says it all, because as soon as I utter even the slightest praise, I'm probably the villain. Towards the most important principles, hear hear...
Only, my old cucumber sees it quite differently, and says: The Zeusch is good.

The villain has very cunningly snuck in a big chunk of praise instead of the aforementioned low praise.
Hardly anything is reminiscent of cheap drugstore standard mash, yes - not even the olfactory appearance average "Designer." And: nothing here is teeny-tiny.

Not sultry, but voluptuous diva femininity in the form of rose syrup with an aniseed-aldehyde scent sloshes across your skin as soon as you let go of the one (!) spray you should limit yourself to. Kraaaaass....
Unexpected!
Almost classic moves. A big thing for the diva in you. - And, as I said, it hardly matches what I experienced on the cardboard... There are hints of dark forest fruits in there, and honey in abundance; in fact, you have to be able to resist sweetness, or just consciously want it - you used to ... !

Even the drydown, which so often exposes the inexpensive, chemical-accidentally loveless, is right here - a calm, grown-up, admittedly very feminine amber-coffee-vanilla base spreads out, discreet and pleasing, that is, at least when you have taken the villain, which should really be called "Diva", for what it is: a woozy, one-note perfume.

Montale on the trail

And another one of those Tik Tok things. I often ask myself why I do this to myself, but with some things you just have to put your two cents in.
It's supposed to smell like Montale's Intense Cafe and apparently comes pretty close to the original.
I'm not a fan of Montale's intense coffee myself, but I know the scent well enough. Montale anyway. But what is supposed to smell similar here remains a mystery to me.

Is it a coffee scent? Yes and no. Coffee is there, but in my opinion it's too much adulterated with alcohol. In the background, there is a very rebellious rose that screeches around the whole thing. Very synthetic, the fragrance is far too shrill on the skin. With the best will in the world, I can't imagine it on adult women. It has more of a teen vibe. No depth to it either, of course. The fragrance is simply sweet and flowery, a little clumsy and powdery and clearly distorted towards the end. Vanilla is added a little carelessly and voila, some people are already tempted to buy it. It definitely saves a few pennies. Yes, but the fragrance has as much to do with Montale as the North has to do with the South Pole.

For me, it's a reach for the toilet. The sillage and longevity are also rather lax and, according to my husband, I smell like a plastic bag that has leaked fruit syrup. What a compliment!
