Unexpected.
"A dupe more in the drugstore. What have they taken on this time? Ah, Lost Cherry. Probably one-dimensional, synthetic cherry and weak projection. Is that really necessary?"

This is how many people might feel when they think of a drugstore dupe of Lost Cherry. And I too have been extremely disappointed by the longevity and projection of such purchases. Best regards to Zara.

But here it's different. Completely different. From the very first whiff, I was puzzled. Where is the one-dimensional, synthetic cherry? Instead, I got a dark, smoky cherry that could easily be sold to me as the original. I would not have expected such incredible depth and complexity. Did someone pour Lost Cherry into the tester?

"Okay. But probably no one will smell it, and if they do, only for the first four minutes." But wait a minute. Two sprays are enough, and you can hardly get it out of your nose for the next few hours? What is happening here?

However, I also don't want to say too much about the longevity, because it would simply be unfair to expect brutal longevity for 8€, something that the Tom Ford folks themselves haven't managed. The original is so heavily criticized for its poor longevity that you simply can't have any expectations for 8€. Whether it's weak right away or even better doesn't really matter.

The scent is by far the best thing I've ever had under my nose in a drugstore, and at the same time, it highlights the shortcomings of a 300€ fragrance. Hats off.

Uncle Tom gets...
... tough competition for his Lost Cherry, and at a slightly lower price than the original. I don't know why Câline launched this fragrance as a women's scent, but I personally don't care at all. I wear it anyway. It is a wonderful fragrance; on my skin, it comes across just as masculine as the original.

When applying this fragrance, you get a slightly feminine cherry scent for the first five minutes, which then changes (at least on my skin). It develops a masculine accord that blends with sugar and almonds. From the back, a very light floral note emerges that is not intrusive but rather supports the fragrance. Then, a woody aroma of sandalwood and vanilla comes through. It becomes slightly balsamic and creamy-powdery due to the musk. In the end, this perfume dries down with vetiver.

The longevity and sillage are good.

This delightful unisex fragrance is a wonderful scent for anyone from around 21 years old, and men should not shy away from it either. It can be worn year-round. The occasion doesn't matter; it can be worn at university just as well as in the office or during leisure time. It is also well-suited for an evening out, whether dining, at a club, or simply with friends at the bar.

Anyone who enjoys a sweet cherry almond scent with a dry masculine accent will find a great deal here for very little money. Câline has once again proven with this fragrance that it produces an excellent dupe and does not have to hide from the big names.

The Hysteria of Cherry Scents
.. or as I like to call it: The Pursuit of TF's Lost Cherry. Over and over again. Everywhere. A while ago, widely spread online, countless videos still circulate today about which scent smells like this or that, is inspired by, or is a genuine counterfeit. Be that as it may, it's starting to get annoying! The hysteria of cherry scents just won't end. There have already been several predictions about how long this will continue. Even among acquaintances, where there are hardly any fragrance enthusiasts. But they all know the lost cherry. Especially all the videos on Instagram and TikTok.

In short: I like cherry. I also like TF's lost cherry. What I don't like are carelessly put together scents that smell like cardboard and plastic fruits. Unfortunately, there are plenty of those. Moreover, they don't last long and seem to be devoured by the skin. Phantom among phantoms.

Admittedly, the lost cherry is not cheap. One can debate whether the price is justified, but connoisseurs in this niche often readily admit that the original is indeed the cornerstone of cherry scents. However, some are not willing to spend so much on a fragrance. That's okay too. Especially when the scent costs only a minimal fraction.

Madame Chérie is a fragrance that costs less than 10€ at the drugstore. Since its release, it's been sold out almost everywhere. You can still test it if you find a little puddle in a tester somewhere. I had "more luck." As soon as it was released, I received the scent from my sister-in-law, who got it twice. She specifically drove there to pick it up. I could hardly believe it, as I didn't know until then that she was looking for the lost cherry.

I was surprised during the first contact: Juicy associations of full-bodied cherry that spreads widely on the skin. Very zippy and with a distinct note of heliotrope and jasmine. Delicate powder puffs cover the view. In the background, there's a note of almond that presents itself smoothly and youthfully. Quite nice, I think, but unfortunately way too weak on the skin after just a few moments. But at that price, one can hardly complain, just add more! I have to be fair and realistic.

Madame Chérie is a small, sweet little fruit, no question, and quite okay for the price. A fragrance that is creamy and balsamically tender at its core. The cherry is present and full-bodied but loses itself over time, creating a mixed fruit mirror that stretches completely in length and width on glass. Vanilla is only sprinkled briefly on top. The sillage is extremely weak. A bit of cardboard also flits around. It feels a bit agitated, slightly youthfully hysterical. Even towards the end, the scent doesn't settle down. Not from a lot of power, but from loud zig-zagging because it doesn't quite know how the individual components should connect with each other. The bottle itself is not really my style, but that's of course a matter of personal taste. For a red sheen, one shouldn't expect any masterpieces. I understand that. As long as it can be sprayed well. It does that every time.

This is not meant to be a harsh critique or a hate message to the lovers (there are already some who have it), but in my opinion, it is just one among many and for my nose and my soul, long since sunk in the hysteria of cherry scents. Farewell.

Lost Cherry for under €7? Câline makes it possible!
Drugstore fragrances are usually not really interesting, one must be honest.
Câline still brings out one or two good scents.
The best example is Madame Chérie.

Is Madame Chérie really a dupe for Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum? Yes, definitely!
In the air, they are actually identical.
There are minimal differences when comparing them side by side.
But as mentioned, the differences are not really significant.

What you get here is black cherry and almonds.
The almonds smell like marzipan and the cherry smells sweet and synthetic.
I don't perceive the floral notes at all.
It’s all almost exactly as you know it from the original, and that for not even €7, impressive.

By now, there are many good dupes that are very affordable and, in my opinion, make Lost Cherry unnecessary.
Câline is so close that it really doesn't make sense to pay 40 or 50 times more.
Unless you have the money and want to pay for the name.

The performance here is not the best.
It's somewhat better than the Tom Ford, but the projection is at most moderate.
The longevity, on the other hand, is quite okay.
For this small price, that's completely fine; you just spray a bit more.

The 4 Most Popular Women's Fragrances of 2024: Affordable Cherry Fun.
Hello my dear perfume friends,

and welcome to this Advent Sunday review.
Today we are back to discuss the most popular women's fragrances of 2024, this time in third place: Madame Chérie.

Last week I bought the bottle at Rossmann and here's how it happened: My dear scent sister S had been nagging me for several days about whether I had finally tested the cherry-scented Madame. I don't like testing in stores, and since I had to do some Christmas shopping anyway, I popped into Rossmann.

Câline is a budget brand, the affordable dupe brand is on the bottom shelf. So I sat down on the floor in front of the shelf to look for the scent. Câline, Câline, Câline were lined up next to each other, then the tester of Madame Chérie. I rummaged through all the Câline rows, nothing. I let my gaze wander: La Rive, La Rive and then again Câline and here I finally found the cherry Madame. I thought I would have to steal the tester (please don't do that!), who the heck arranged the shelves like this? I cursed inwardly and was simultaneously happy about my find.

This is my first Câline fragrance. So far, I had only come across the brand on YouTube and it hadn't appealed to me. "Madame Chérie" actually means "Mrs. Darling".

Once home, I inspected the bottle, which I quite like considering how affordable the perfume was, with rose embossing and the pink coloring fitting the cherry theme.
At the spray head, I smelled a hint of Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum, then I sprayed it and noted the following in my Excel list:

"Potent Lost Cherry dupe, possibly slightly more marzipan-like than the original. However, no one will notice the difference when passing by, it may even last longer on my skin."

Even when I sniff the spray head today, I immediately smell Lost Cherry and cannot detect any difference compared to the original.

Once sprayed, the scent is immediately present: Juicy cherries with lots of marzipan and a hint of liqueur. Lost Cherry sprayed on my other forearm starts a bit fruitier, more cherry-like, and then develops the marzipan note, overall milder. The Madame seems more synthetic, although Tom Ford fragrances are also not known for smelling completely natural. Thus, the Madame fits perfectly into the Advent Christmas mood today. Actually, both fragrances do, as they get closer together over time, now smelling almost indistinguishably similar. And I see my initial impression confirmed: No one will be able to distinguish this dupe from the original scent when passing by! In terms of longevity, they don't differ on my skin either; after 2-3 hours, I would need to reapply both, although the marzipan note of the Câline fragrance holds up a bit better.

Madame Chérie is therefore suitable for all those who like cherry-marzipan, who are looking for a delicious winter scent, and who have been put off by the price of the original. I see the fragrance more as a fun scent.

I can recommend Madame Chérie at any time with a clear conscience, wearing it myself not so much, as even after my purchase of Lost Cherry, I hardly liked to smell it on myself anymore. The cherry season is probably over, or I would prefer perfumes where cherry plays a supporting role, but that could change again.

Thank you for reading,
Your Marie

Marzipan confection soaked in cherry liqueur. Balsamic creamy musk finishes it off. Advantage: Doesn't go to the hips.

KN is a cherry-almond shower, really lovely. But for me, it quickly turns into an ordinary floral scent and lasts from 12 to noon.

You can only celebrate such a successful dupe. Cherry liqueur - you name it. No money lost, but a lot of cherry found.
Lasts 5 hours on me, that's enough.
