Unexpected.
"One more dupe in the drugstore. What did they go for this time? Ah, Lost Cherry. Probably one-dimensional, synthetic cherry and weak projection. Is that what it takes?"
That's how many people will feel when they think of a drugstore dupe from Lost Cherry. And I too have been extremely disappointed with the durability and projection (even for €8) of such purchases.
But here it's different. Completely different. The first whiff already confused me. Where is the one-dimensional, synthetic cherry? Instead, I got a dark, smoky cherry that you could immediately sell to me as an original. I wasn't expecting so much depth and complexity.
"Okay. But probably no one will smell it, and if they do, then only for the first four minutes." But wait a minute. Two sprays are enough and you can smell it overly strongly for the next hour? What?
I can't and don't want to say anything about longevity because it would simply be unfair. After all, the original is so badly battered for its poor durability that you simply can't have any expectations for €8. Whether it's just as weak or even better is totally irrelevant.
The fragrance is by far the best I've ever had under my nose in a drugstore and at the same time it's a poor example of a €300 fragrance. Hats off.
