Not too fond of apple fragrances, so not for me

Okay, I think I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I do not care for this fragrance as must as I thought I would. Compared to AI’s first fragrance, Ambrosia Imperiale, Amorous Intense falls a bit flat for me.

As a preface, I’m not an apple girl. I don’t search for apple notes in my fragrances because I’d rather eat one than smell like one. So I wasn’t pleased with the overwhelming apple note from jump. I was definitely hoping to get more of the pear and almond, but all I get is apple with a touch of the other two in the background. As the fragrance dries down, I get the rum and some non-descript sweetness. I pick up on the ylang ylang slightly, but it is pretty well masked by all the other notes. It does in fact dry down smelling *similar* to Ambrosia Imperiale but fruitier and somehow weaker to my nose and on my skin? Idk it’s still a shock to me because Ambrosia is an absolute beast or a fragrance.

Amorous does stay a decent amount of time on your skin and has a sneaky sillage, so I will say the performance is moderate to long-lasting/strong. This can also be easily worn year round, day or night. I think AI made this one for the people that could not get on board with her first release and that “scary” banana note that everyone was afraid of. While I think it smells good, I can truthfully say it’s not for me and I will be selling my bottle away. Hopefully I enjoy her junior project/release as much as I enjoyed her freshman/first release!
